Thank you for your testing, Siduhe and JJZolx. I agree that this bug must not occur very often, but for classical music, I found that the genre tag could be used to find a certain type of work. In Settings > My Music , you must have genre filtering enabled and, like the other bug, it's only in the SqueezePlay (Controller, Radio, Touch) interface that it shows up. It works correctly if you use the web interface. I've filed 'bug 15521' (https://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=15521). rotho, I think it is fixed in 7.5. I changed tracks 4-6 of an album with genre "breaks" to "breakbeat". Then navigated from Genres/Compilations/Breakbeat (I use Compilations rather than Various Artists in the software settings) I then see the album with only tracks 4-6. If I press play on track 4, track 4 plays. Similarly, if I press play on the album (under Genres/Compliations/Breakbeat, only tracks 4-6 play. It appears from Jim's comment that the fix isn't going to be backported to 7.4.2. [slim] Artist search in multiple artists albums leads systematically to first track
Hello everybody, I have the following issue, when I make searches with the Controller : I have several albums with different artists on each track, and when I do a search of one of these artists on the Controller, I first get the concerned albums, and then when I choose an album, I get only the tracks with the concerned artist, but then when I ask to play one of these tracks, it is systematically the first track of the album that is played. I also have the same problem when I make a search by genre : if in an album there are tracks with different genres, the controller systematically plays the first track of the album whatever the track I select in the search results. Some details : This situation occurs whether the album is tagged as compilation or not. I only use artist tags but not the albumartist tag. I have the "list compilation albums under each artist" option. I don't know if it is a tagging problem or a bad parameter in Squeezebox Server.
