Re: [slim] Don't Stop The Music
I saw that it is a built-in plugin on 7.9. I was asking if it's possible to access it in 7.8 somehow. I guess I should have been more specific with my question. For some reason I have been having problems trying to download 7.9 w/vortexbox. mherger wrote: > > Is it on 7.8? > > > > kidstypike wrote: > >> It's a built-in plugin in recent 7.9 versions. > > I'm glad you quote the answer to your question. Re: [slim] Don't Stop The Music
Hi Michael, I am sure it is my fault that I did 'nt make myself clear,Previously , after a song or a playlist the music was stopping. Thanks to your remarks ,regarding sugarcube ,now the music goes on.Then I realized that uninstalling DSTM ,the music goes on,again, due to sugarcube. I 've read in the forum that DSTM kicks in during a song and provides a list of songs that may come from the local HD or spotify . The mix itself has to do with the choice of other plugins , random mix or spotify recommendations or last mix. That is what I expected to happen and never did.So , I was not sure if DSTM was working or how it is working. Anyway, thank you for your effort.Sorry for been tiresome. _ Regards Philip philtzimas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66462 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105818 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Don't Stop The Music
I am afraid I have misguided you a little. The music goes on due to sugarcube that picks song after song. What's wrong then? Seriously: I don't understand what you're expecting, what you're experiencing, and what was wrong about that. DSTM should provide a list of songs (a playlist of 5 or more like No. DSTM doesn't provide songs. It only provides the infrastructure to continue playback of some sort once the playlist comes to an end. But it's other plugins which provide the tracks. Hi Michael, I am afraid I have misguided you a little. The music goes on due to sugarcube that picks song after song. DSTM should provide a list of songs (a playlist of 5 or more like smartmix in the past but this is not the case. The belief that last mix was working is due to random selection of next song in sugarcube-musicip plugin everytime I was trying the same song. DSTM is a really useful plugin , that is why a made a mess of uninstalling several other plugins hoping that I would find the conflict. As a last service to this DSTM failure of mine, could you please recommend or deter of using any of the LMS plugins to avoid conflicts with DSTM? although smartmix was working efficiently, the DSTM failed to do so.It is there ,under extras but no matter what I choose (spotifyrec, lastmix musicip) nothing happens. What are you playing when DSTM should kick in? There was an issue with certain resources which could lead to DSTM failure. You'd recognize this in the log where it would say something along the lines of "no mix created as last track is a radio station" or similar. I only fixed that issue in December. Your build is older. Re: [slim] Don't Stop The Music
I think I may have found a bug in DSTM. It works fine until I listen to a radio station, and then it won't work again unless I restart LMS. It seems that a variable may get set when a radio station is found last in the queue and then it is never reset after switching back to local files or a streaming service. Fix should be available in an hour. Thanks again! -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Michael, I think I may have found a bug in DSTM. It works fine until I listen to a radio station, and then it won't work again unless I restart LMS. It seems that a variable may get set when a radio station is found last in the queue and then it is never reset after switching back to local files or a streaming service. I added AC/DC - Back In Black to the playlist and DSTM - LastMix added 5 songs. I skipped to the next song (Danzig - Mother) and then switched to a radio stream. After a couple minutes, I cleared the playlist and then added 1 track, Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion. It played to the end and DSTM did not attempt to add anymore. All of the tracks I was using were local files. Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1470912157 @ Thu Aug 11 11:20:50 UTC 2016 All plugins are current. Sorry - it's Song Mix which defaults. But my original observation still stands. What triggers Deezer Smart Radio? Artist, song title, genre Deezer's Smart Radio is basically what others call an Artist Radio: you pick an artist and let Deezer create some mix based on that artist. In the DSTM case the plugin picks the artists from the current playlist and tries to create a mix based on one of them. [slim] Don't Stop The Music
Excellent work by Michael as always as he has restored the Don't Stop The Music functionality that went west with Smart Mix and The Echonest. So here I am listening to a FLAC rip of Peter Gabriel's Scratch My Back. If you haven't ever heard it I would say it is a serious work. It's reworked cover versions of well known stuff but stripped very bare. Serious stuff. Anyway the aforesaid DSTM has added some stuff from Spotify onto the playlist as you would expect. I think Michael has been mischievous. Four tracks in to the Spotify stuff is Chris de Burgh's Lady In Red.
