Re: [slim] Looking for a place to repair my Transporter
Back in black. Thanks to Johannes Franke who recommended I try replacing the two smoothing capacitors on the 5V supply. $4 and I'm back to listening. For those who may not know Joe he has a blog with a lot of great information about the Transporter, Classic and the Touch. Saved my bacon :-) https://joes-tech-blog.blogspot.com/ Howard Howard Passman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16674 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114905 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I was just sitting down to see if I can find a replacement in the U.S.. It appears there is some heat indications at the base of the power transistor. I'm old school electronics so power supplies don't bother me, but my eyesight does. Wish me luck and thanks again. [slim] Looking for a place to repair my Transporter
I'm sure this has been asked over the years, but I'm hoping maybe there's some new info out there. I believe my power supply is the issue and am hoping someone knows someone who fixes these things. Any help would be appreciated.
