Ok, let's try a factory reset: unplug your SB3 (wireless?), press and hold
ADD on the remote while plugging the device in again. You'll have to
reconfigure the box. Does this help?

If not: did it ever connect after the update?

Same problem here. I tried running the server from the command line and
found that it was dying while trying to read my iTunes library. I
removed iTunes, reinstalled the server from scratch and things began to
work properly. I don't know what about iTunes made it wonky but this
seems to have solved my problem.

Clearly a different problem: wimberrypie's server does start, but does not
recognize the players. Your server does not start.

Right. I missed the 'player can't be found' part :).

[slim] Re: Ive made a mistake !

2006-06-04 Thread gutted

I don't use SB3 (so my apologies if this isn't actually relevant) but is
it anything to do with wireless security?

Like - have Slim Devices introduced new wireless security into the
latest build that may need to be reconfigured before your player can be
seen? Perhaps a previous security setting has been over-written by the
upgrade? WPA, WEP etc?

I'm assuming you're on wireless, so may be wrong on that count too :)
