I now only get your player cannot be found in the www interface ...the whole setup has been working perfectly for months, until the dreaded upgrade !! ARH .. Ok, let's try a factory reset: unplug your SB3 (wireless?), press and hold ADD on the remote while plugging the device in again. You'll have to reconfigure the box. Does this help? If not: did it ever connect after the update? -- Michael --- Help translate SlimServer by using the StringEditor Plugin (http://www.herger.net/slim/) ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Same problem here. I tried running the server from the command line and found that it was dying while trying to read my iTunes library. I removed iTunes, reinstalled the server from scratch and things began to work properly. I don't know what about iTunes made it wonky but this seems to have solved my problem. wimberrypie wrote: I now only get your player cannot be found in the www interface ...the whole setup has been working perfectly for months, until the dreaded upgrade !! I Clearly a different problem: wimberrypie's server does start, but does not recognize the players. Right. I missed the 'player can't be found' part :). Michael Herger wrote: Same problem here. [slim] Re: Ive made a mistake !
I don't use SB3 (so my apologies if this isn't actually relevant) but is it anything to do with wireless security? Like - have Slim Devices introduced new wireless security into the latest build that may need to be reconfigured before your player can be seen? Perhaps a previous security setting has been over-written by the upgrade? WPA, WEP etc? I'm assuming you're on wireless, so may be wrong on that count too :) -- gutted http://www.last.fm/user/gutt3d/ Slimserver 6.2.2 +MusicIP Mixer 1.6b2 +MoodLogic 2.7.1.18 +AlienBBC 1.02a +Slimscrobbler 0.34 Windows 2000 Professional sp4 Intel Celeron 1.4GHz 512MB RAM Squeezebox 1 wireless (Player Firmware Version: 40) Library of approx 6300 MP3s gutted's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=147 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24463 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
