[slim] Re: Playlist disappear because of missing #EXTM3U
I had a similar problem that turned out to be a permissions problem. The directory needed to belong to the slimserver account in my particular installation. The issue was write access. I'm running linux (ubuntu) 6.2.1 and the logfile indicated that it could not write the playlist. I can now save, edit and otherwise manipulate the list. -- ericj ericj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3230 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19219 ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Doh, the 'Only rescan playlists' doesn't cause me any trouble either. -- Maditude Maditude's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=426 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19219 ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I use it a fair amount, with no problems, and it definitely survives a normal rescan, as well as a full wipe/rescan. SlimServer Version: 6.2.1 - 5194 - freebsd - EN - iso-8859-1 The first two lines of my playlist files all look like: - - - - #CURTRACK 112 #EXTM3U - - - - (Well, the #CURTRACK N varies, obviously) -- Maditude Maditude's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=426 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19219 ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

But the fix the original poster suggests does not work for me. I will enter a bug. -- makingmark makingmark's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2343 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19219 ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I also never use playlists, but I hear enough talk about it to assume that plenty of people do :) I'd certainly suggest filing a bug, I'd also suggest calling/emailing support - as they're actually pretty helpful. -- radish radish's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=77 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19219 ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I would have thought that this was used a lot? Well, I've been using this platform for 2 years and have never saved a playlist. That's just me though, others may have experience doing it. I've seen plenty of bug reports get lost because they never filed bugs in the bug tracking system.
