running.

Tbat is, are you going to the Services page, and it has it as
Running?

Mine has it as type Manual, and does not show it as running.

However, slim.exe *is* running in the process list.

Why is the service installed if it's not running *as* a service, but as
a separate process?  Or does that service merely kick off slim.exe, then
die?

service or not.

This sounds like the inevitable confusion caused by recent changes to
SlimTray:

SlimServer is installed as a service, but you have the option of
running it as a user program.  Why?  Seems like it's mostly to address
the issue of SlimServer accessing mapped network drives.

I should add that it will look the same in the list of processes
running - shown as 'slim.exe' - except that when running as a service
the user name displayed will be SYSTEM, while when running as a user
program it will be the name of the logged in user.
