O.K., I checked the one I have on my cradle at home and I am now confident it is the same one as I found. As a matter of fact it has the same manufacturer part number on it. Here's the manufacturer and the page with all of the different plates. http://www.phihongusa.com/html/psam30r.html Here's where I found the plate here in the U.S., but I would imagine there are many other places you can get one. On the manufacturer site they even gave names and contact info for companies that carried them. Most reputable dealers offer a liberal return period on these cams and it seems just as often you hear about someone who purchases a camera from these dealers that has hundreds of activations on it. Personally I don't feel it's fair to pay the exact same amount of money for a slightly used camera as it is for a brand new one. Feeling that way is why I am opposed (for myself) to trial periods on devices. Another part of the issue for myself is that I have no doubt the Transporter will work as advertised, but the part I care about is one of personal taste and it doesn't sit well with me to use a piece of equipment and return it based on my personal tastes. I know all of this seems silly and I think there are ways around it. I would love to find one locally to listen to (not likely) or if companies would make trial models available. The automobile business does it. You have demo models that are used for test drives and then sold at a reduced price because the dealer has depreciated the vehicle. Same thing for local sound shops. When I purchased my equipment years ago I took home floor models to try over night. As long as I didn't damage them I didn't have to pay for anything and the shop would sell them as floor models at the end of the year. Anyway, like I said, it's just a personal quirk of mine and I'm willing to wait for the opportunity to hear one local to myself. Nuts, huh? If it comes with the US plate that's good. Ahh. Just re-read the thread and came across this. What we have here (for us long suffering European residents) seems to be a chink in the Logitech you have to use our decrepit European distribution system so we can keep our differential pricing armour. It still peeves me when I remember trying to get a boom when they first came out and was told that 'we have boxes full in our back room' in Mountain View and the UK delivery at higher price was 4 weeks. Just for grins, you should see the places that Slim will ship to out of the US (have a look at the drop down box on their website). I am not sure all of them are even inhabited. Pretty much everywhere in the world except Western Europe. Regards, Peter The Cradle has a wide AC transformer on it and the device is outputting DC so a wide range of AC input voltages (100 to 240 VAC) are covered. The wall wart uses slide on plug adapters for most AC outlets. The voltage of ones country shouldn't be a problem. I don't know if they are including all the adapters or if they are including the adapter for only the country itÂ’s shipped to. It didn't even take 15 days for me to decide to replace my Esoteric Transport and Dodson DA-217 MK2-D Digital Processor as my main digital source with the Transporter. I was very skeptical that a NMP was going to be able to match my CD setup at a fifth of the cost, but that was indeed the case. So I sold my Esoteric Transport. I got to good of a deal on the Dodson to let it go and its nice to have a great DAC around anyway. Speaking of DACs, the Bel Canto e.One DAC3 D/A processor makes a great partner to the Receiver or Classic but sadly that combo costs $900 more then a Transporter and will not play 24/96 files native like the TP will. There is a ton of value in the Transporter.
