[slim] updated Controller - now frozen at "Free Your Music"
I got home from a few days out of town and started my Controller. It said a software update was available, I accepted, it installed. It is now frozen on the "Free Your Music" screen. It won't power down when I try to turn it off. I removed the battery and reinserted - same thing. When I reinsert the battery it starts up bur freezes at the "Free Your Music" screen. I was using SqueezeCenter 7.2 at the time. I uninstalled it including removing preferences and logs. I reinstalled it - same thing. I tried reinserting the battery while holding down vol+ as I read power on + vol+ = reset. Same thing. I uninstalled SC 7.2 and installed 7.2.1. Same thing. Can someone let me know how to reset my Controller or otherwise bring it back to life? This Controller update seems to have killed it somehow. Try taking out the battery and leaving it out for 10 mins or so as well as an SD card you have in there. Then try the factory reset (hold down add whilst reinserting battery and keep add held down). Update: Fixed the problem for now. It seems to be something to do with using a custom startup sound. If I narrow it down further I will post about it.
