Re: [slim] Honeycomb Android App for Squeezebox
That's quite a work-around for a good app. I did go through all the steps, but I don't like to have use a specific SBS interface to suit my remote control. I prefer the Nokia interface because of the huge, easy search window...and I don't like the nonuniform way that the cover thumbnails line up. Anyway thanks. I guess I'll have to wait for a proper Honeycomb app. I tried the other suggestions and can't get my head around tiny little thumbnails on Honeycomb. -- jimzak http://zzzone.net http://have-a-nice-day.org http://www.last.fm/user/zzzoneDOTnet http://somethingsomethingsomething.net Ripper: dBpoweramp Router: Lynksys WRT54GL Server: SBS 7.5.4 - i3 - Win 7 64bit Player: 2 Booms, 1 Radio, 1 Touch Control: 2 controllers, 1 iPod Touch w/iPeng, 1 iPad w/iPeng for iPad SqueezePad, Nexus S phone w/Logitech controller app 'Library' (http://zzzone.net/photo/2009/music1.jpg): 99,000+ FLAC/MP3 files - 2TB external HD x 2 jimzak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17592 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88591 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Why don't you contact the author and ask him to fix the issue? I also get crashes with squeezebox commander on my acer a500 (also a honycomb tablet). It does seens screen related. I only get them in landscape mode. If holding the tablet in portrait i does not crash. On a viewsonic viewpad 7 i can use it without a crash in landscape mode (androit 2.2 tablet). The logitech app works fine on my acer honycomb tablet. On my other android devices i do not use it because it is slow. But the faster prosessor in the acer makes the app usable. And works fine in landscape mode (squeezebox commander does not) needed to use it with my docking station. Re: [slim] Honeycomb Android App for Squeezebox
I have an ASUS Transformer too. *SqueezeCommander* Is the most powerful and feature packed. But its not very tablet friendly. In fact i wrote the developer an email about this just yesterday! *An alternate solution* (which i use quite happily at the moment) 1) Download another browser (Dolphin HD in my case). This will be your new squeezbox tablet app ;) 2) Set homepage to your squeeze server IP : port 3) In the browser settings, go fullscreen. It will remember this and never show you the address bar even the next time you open the browser, giving you an app feel and more screen real estate. 4) Download the tablet skin from here : simulacrum .net.nz/squeeze/ 5) In your squeezeplayer settings interface skin tablet skin 6) Open dolphin HD, click albums, change the view (top right) to show album art Thats it! Now when you view albums you see a nice wall of CD covers. Its really a nice interface, especially on the tablet. I'd post a screenshot, but this is my first post and its not letting me! cya R -- Rehaan Rehaan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48067 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88591 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Honeycomb Android App for Squeezebox
I'm using the free Logitech Android app and it works fine, but the screen real estate is not used to full advantage. But it is using the split view, isn't it? I need an iPeng-ish app for Honeycomb :) SqueezeCommander usually is the best bet. -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
