Re: [slim] Itunes TMP FIles
Thanks Ian, doesn't sound like you are using the iTunesUpdate plugin. However, I believe the library scan in 7.3 now uses COM to get the artwork from iTunes... I'm not 100% sure TBH, I linked my windows Squeezecenter (I dual boot with Linux) to iTunes so it picks up the library/artwork - when I was backing up the iTunes files i noticed the temp files Is this the plugin or is that something different ? Good answer, i think u are right, maybe it only happens when the rescan is running and I am playing music. Today i played some tracks while rescan was not running and i watched the itunes folder and I could see the .tmp file created, see the itunes library file updated and then the .tmp deleted. SO maybe its the rescan. I will test that theory. -- bebopbird bebopbird's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19995 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57848 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I'm running pretty much the same set-up as you. Re: [slim] Itunes TMP FIles
It's certainly not the plugin creating them itself, but it may be a side effect of interacting with iTunes over the COM interface. I get the same problem but definitely not one .tmp file every time a track is played, it's more like one every day. Hence I always used to think it was caused by the library rescan...
