Re: [slim] Line In
I suppose you could install some sort of streaming service on your mac ('e.g.' (http://dss.macosforge.org/)), and connect the Squeezeboxen to it. But would it be worth the hassle? -- Soulkeeper -that is not dead which can eternal lie. and with strange aeons even death may die.- duet + boom + radio (+touch on the way) / wrt160n/dd-wrt / sbs 7.5.1 or higher/win7(32b)/avira free Soulkeeper's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35297 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82169 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Line In
First there will be delays streaming through SBS and if you have set large buffers for your player the delays can even be 5-10 secs - one user reported 20sec. OSX users who want Mac speaker audio to be played through SBS usually use Rogue Amoeba Nicecast and stream it as a http. Not sure if Nicecast works with Line-in but check their other products. VLC might be able to stream an line-in input to a http stream - it can't do PC audio which is why users use Nicecast. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82169 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I don't think there has been anything written for Mac as yet. And given how long the Wav Input plugin has been around, I wouldn't hold my breath over one appearing any time soon. -- funkstar '[project log] funkstars digital lifestyle' (http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-lifestyle/179882-project-log-funkstars-digital-lifestyle.html) - 'hexus.community' (http://forums.hexus.net/) *in use:* *1*x touch, *1*x boom, *2*x sb3, *1*x controller *in a box:* *1*x radio, *1*x (beta) controller, *1*x receiver, *1*x sb2 wired (silver), *1*x sb (black), *1*x slimp3 (with rear shield) if you have any others, let me know, i'm interested!! funkstar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82169 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I'm using Indigo on a Mac for the automation creating the voice so something similar to run on a Mac sounds like it would work. Do you know of any applications?
