Re: [slim] OpenFrame remote for SB?
Well, I've not uploaded a complete image, because it takes way longer to download/put it on the USB key, because large parts of the image will be empty. I think the easiest way is to download an Ubuntu CD, boot your PC from this CD in a Live-Ubuntu (that does not change anything on your harddisk). http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download After booting do this: * Insert the USB key (* One or more windows will pop up (the current USB key contents)) * Open System / Admin / Partition Editor * Select your USB key (/dev/sdX) in the upper-right corner WARNING: BE CAREFUL TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT DEVICE! OTHERWISE YOU MAY ACCIDENTLY ERASE YOUR HARDDISK! * On all partitions on the stick (/dev/sdXn), right-click and select Unmount * Now, clear the stick: Device / Create Partition Table * Now, create the 3 partitions as mentioned here: http://www.jogglerwiki.info/index.php?title=Android_Prebuild_Image But I'll prepare an empty image with the 3 partitions for your convenience. :-) When this is ready, you can put this image to the USB key and add the contents of the torrent file to the first partition. -- flattermann Christian Home of 'SqueezeCommander' (http://www.squeezecommander.com) - The SqueezeBox Remote Control App for Android flattermann's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33169 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64373 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

There's really no need to go about installing ubuntu to use the Joggler as a Squeezecenter, Squeezeplay will run on it. See attached pic or http://twitpic.com/1ipv62 There are a few minor issues but these can be addressed in code, namely - there are no hard buttons. Touchscreen obviously works fine. This is without having to install ubuntu - remember that linux on the joggler is essentially ubuntu 8.04. I had to tweak the skin to get the screen size to be correct, but that's another minor thing. To be honest I've only worked on this for an hour and most of the time taken was me learning a bit about lua ScaredyCat +---+ |Filename: squeezey.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9747| +---+ -- ScaredyCat ScaredyCat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31242 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64373 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
