Re: [slim] Rhapsody Subscribers....
Ok, thanks for the quick response and clarification. I still notice that some channels work better than others and there are some tracks that when I see them pop up I expect a hang up within a couple more. The few tracks that I am aware of are in that not visible class, but maybe it is not related. The good news is that I have channels now that play for hours with no problem. -- texmass texmass's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21670 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57304 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Rhapsody Subscribers....
Hi, Recently I have found that Rhapsody channels are working much better, not sure if was 7.3 upgrade or Rhapsody fixing stuff but either way it seems a lot better than it was. However it still fails sometimes and here is what I have noticed... Rhapsody channels occasionally play tracks that they apparently have no right to play, t is not uncommon to hear a track on a channel that is neither listed nor available on Rhapsody. I have always assumed this was because it was available at one time and got stuck in rotation, but then they lost their rights. Anyway what I have noticed is that song will play fine, but within a couple of tracks everything hangs up with the authentication error. I have some artist channels that are much worse than others and I have noticed this correlation to frequency of non-authorized tracks. Maybe it is something you can think about. -- texmass texmass's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21670 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57304 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I think I was confused Andy, I got the skip limit while using the Rhapsody client not squeezebox. Anyhow, I can get rhapsody to play a few songs, but it's only 1 song more reliable than it was before. I get through 4 songs and then it either forgets to sync one of the players, or it stops altogether. I've had my share of problems with Rhapsody also, but the last time I listened a day or two ago it was working fine. There was only one track on one album that wouldn't play and I got an error message ("invalid combination of .."). One other thing that bothers me is when artists are removed with no explanation. Re: [slim] Rhapsody Subscribers....
it's been rock solid for me since their latest upgrade. prior to that, I had to hit play or skip a handful of times throughout the day if listening to a channel. Before their upgrade, the worst times were on weekends for me when I suspect their user load spikes. Christmas Day, the service was unusable from a Rhapsody direct client. Still, as much as I listen to it, it is more than worth my subscriber fees. And, they sell songs cheaper than iTunes as well. Or at least they did, I've not bought one in a while. Asking for a refund doesn't seem neccessary for me as I still get plenty of use from the service. It does seem like it hits some users harder than others.
