Connecting to your local LMS is another matter, however. Here's an old guide: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Connecting_remotely It's a little outdated but will give you the basic idea. The ports you need to open should be forwarded for UDP and TCP. If you are only going to be gone a few days you can probably skip the stuff about DDNS. You'll need to leave your server powered on. If your library is lossless bandwidth can sometimes become a problem (e.g. stuttering).
