What is with this god awfully long "[users] [moderated]" thread?
Does anyone else just delete them all since it covers so many different
subjects?

It's almost as bad as replies from batched emails...
That's an easy one, Mike,
the "moderated" mails are from people who are not subscribed to the
list, so will not see replies automatically. If you want to respond to
the original poster, it is wise to CC them directly (many put in
suggestion that they do subscribe) . Hence the variety of topics.

Ciao!
And what about Quickstarter? I really don't like current state of
Quickstarter. The "old" was much better in 1.x. There are any way to
integrate modules, load, templates (and recent OOo docs) into that menu
again?

Thanks,
KAMI

I believe this product has a major shortcoming, one I battle endlessly with
Colleagues and Clients. Early versions of StarOffice has a calendar and
e-mail support. No such features exist in the current product. This is a
MAJOR omission, in that MS bigots point to Outlook and Entourage. It was in
the product. The source code must exist somewhere. Please place these
tools back into the product ASAP. Also, the e-mail would be great if it
could eventually exist as compatible with Exchange Server.
When Sun Microsystems donated source code to make OpenOffice.org free
software, I think they omitted included the e-mail client. Maybe you
would be interested in a third-party program.

Linux users have Evolution, which has e-mail, a calendar, tasks, and
Exchange support.

Novell recently announced they will be porting Evolution to Windows, but
this may take some time.

There are some other free software programs similar to Outlook, but I
haven't used them.

[discuss] Re: Replace and Case

No I meant this the other way around. If your search is
  search: macbeth; replace with: hamlet
and you start with
  Macbeth, MACBETH, MacBeth, MacBetH
you get
  Hamlet, HAMLET, ... and then?
Ciao, Joerg
Hamlet, HAMLET, Hamlet, Hamlet
Which is a result I'd be happy with since I must have a broken Caps Lock
key to get those original words ;-) ... if I did want to replace
MacBetH with HamleT I'd use the Match Case feature which would work
equally as well in OO.o

For the common capitalisations, which is all lower, all upper, Title
Case and Sentence Case, a blanket search replace, which matches the
capitalisation of the original word you are replacing, is an excellent
and time saving feature.

I've since d/l a snapshot of OO.o2 to see what's changed and to answer
my own question and the answer is that this snapshot hasn't changed
the behavior of 1.1.4. There also isn't a "Sentence" and "Title Case"
option in the Change Case tool; which is something I still miss horribly.

Are there macros out there that have addressed these issues for english?
