I do use t-bird for usenet and personal email but this is for use at
work. T-bird is just usenet and email. Outlook is email, calendar,
tasks, shared folders, etc. all of which are used by my company.

I like having the word processor as my HTML email editor because it
spell checks as I go along. It also handles pasted HTML from other app's
better than the default outlook email editor. Problem is the email that
gets sent doesn't look the same as what I composed when using
stationery. It gets indented a couple of extra tab stops when viewed by
the recipient instead of looking like it did when I composed it. I was
hoping OOo could be hooked into Outlook as the html editor because it
usually works better than Word.

In my case, because of all the shortcuts I use -- largely transposing
characters and changing case quickly. I don't send htmls mails, but I still
find it useful to use my normal word processor when writing long and
reasonably structured letters.

It's all for internal email. Everyone must use Outlook. It's a company
requirement, so they will have no problems reading HTML.

If this were 1990 I would agree that sending email in HTML format would
be unadvisable. This is 2005 though and any email client that can't
handle HTML isn't worth wasting time with.

I've often wondered why people like doing that -- it strikes me as rather
like using bulldozer to replant your petunias.

Maybe make a copy of soffice.exe and rename it to winword.exe?
