Hi Ozi,

I think it shouldn't bee too difficult to get an updated
suckless-tools package in Devuan. I will give a look at the current
one and see whether I can try to put together something useful :)

I just pinned it manually.  So it looks as if the issue has not been 
fixed yet.
Or, at least, not for a system that was installed from alpha-2 and 
continually

It is a configuration file, and they sometimes don't upgrade without 
manual

? I don't see anything in /etc/apt to stop this. I'd like to be able
to have some
control over which packages I get from backports.

Or am I better off from a security perspective to always get backports
updates for
everything?

You have to explicitly install the package you want.

So don't be afraid to add
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian jessie-backports main
into your sources.list

and have a look at

to set your mind at rest.
