Re: [libreoffice-documentation] User account for Alfresco

2012-04-11 Thread Tom Davies
Hi :)
Welcome in! :)  How are things going?  There is a guide to help with with
Alfresco but i am not certain where it is.  I think Jean set-up an account just
before she went off for a few days.  Have you been able to login and use it?
Regards from
Tom :)

The guide is out of date and therefore probably not good to have anyway. I set
up his account but he had another question that I have referred to David Nelson.

Re: [libreoffice-documentation] User account for Alfresco

2012-04-11 Thread Tom Davies
Hi :)
I think i remember Jean saying she had already done the new improved guide so
it might only need a bit of proof-reading from
1.  An expert that knows the new system (ie David) and
2.  Someone new that has never used Alfresco before

Tom :)

Hi Jean, Tom, guys,

Thanks for CC'ing me - it meant I got the message immediately. Please
do CC me for any Alfresco-related problems and questions, and I'll get
back to you more quickly.

Milton, you were already in the Spanish group, and I've increased the
group's permissions to Editor role (for the Espanol folder), so you
should be able to do all you need. Please CC me again if questions - I
have promised to write an updated Alfresco section for the contributor
guide, but I'm late with this task (although it is by no way forgotten
and I will get around to it soon - apologies for the wait).

My names is Milton Gallegos and I  want to localize LibreOffice's Guides to

Tom,
Your memory is incorrect. I did not do the chapter on using Alfresco.
I only did the chapter on producing LO user guides.

[libreoffice-documentation] Web pages and macros

2012-04-11 Thread Hazel Russman
Web pages: nothing to report.

Macros:

p.320. The following details are very complete;. Better The following
explanation is very detailed;

p.329. ownloading should be Downloading.

p.330. Fig 310 should be Fig 311.

p.331 Fig 305 should be Fig 312.

p.334. Fig 301 should be Fig 315.

I find this chapter a little too detailed and advanced for a Getting Started
guide. If I were reviewing it, I would delete one or two paragraphs so as not
to frighten the novices. However, it's a bit late for that now.

Hi Tom,

Yes, please! I'd love to have some LibreOffice documentation people
at the conference. And if people are interested, at the sprints as
well.

Thanks,
Shaun

Hi folks,

I'm hosting the Open Help Conference Sprints again this year, August 11-15. I
know a lot of Ubuntu docs people were interested last year. In fact, Phil and
Jim both came last
year, though they were also sort of there as GNOME docs people. I hope to see
some friendly Ubuntu faces this year.

http://openhelpconference.com/

The main conference is August 11-12. This is followed by multiple team sprints
August 13-15. I'd love to host an Ubuntu doc sprint, and perhaps have an
Ubuntu/GNOME meetup to see how we can better help each other. We've been kind
of cherry-picking each other's work for the last year. I'm sure we could figure
out ways to make this more efficient.

The presentation proposal period is now open, so if you'd like to share
something cool with the world, let me know. Also, this year I'm having a tools
showcase, a set of lightning talks where we all show off the tools we make and
use.

If you have any questions, just email.

Thanks,
Shaun
