Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Fwd: LibreOffice Guide in the Ubuntu App Store
Hi Jean, all, DistroWatch is a website, that gathers information about all available Linux Distributions. They have news about the different distributions (like when they publish a new version, or if a new distribution is created, ) they have also some reviews about the distributions, and, they are most famous for their distributions ranking. http://distrowatch.com/ Sigrid -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to documentation+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/documentation/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Fwd: LibreOffice Guide in the Ubuntu App Store
Hi :) Yes, it gives a page of info per distro listing some of the apps. A good example is the Pardus page (a Turkish distro) http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=pardus If you scroll down you see the top-table shows which Office Suite the distro uses. Then further down it gives the version number. If you check the release dates you might work out that Pardus was about the 1st distro to include LO as it's default office suite. DW has a weekly magazine type thing and this week they had a follow-up review of Calligra, some news about Debain, Debian-documentation, the UDS summit, and a review of a not-so-scary BSD distro. DW is a great way of getting a good overview of the activity going on across almost all the GnuLinux, GnuHurd and BSD distros out there. Hi :) Ahhh, i didn't realise they charged a lot. I kinda assumed they under-charged. So, i agree about not advertising with them. [libreoffice-documentation] Fwd: LibreOffice buttons (with no subline) for external website use update
Forwarded from the Marketing list, in case someone here is not subscribed but might be interested. Jean Begin forwarded message: From: Marc Paré m...@marcpare.com Date: 18 May 2012 1:29:14 AEST To: market...@global.libreoffice.org Subject: [libreoffice-marketing] LibreOffice buttons (with no subline) for external website use update Reply-To: market...@global.libreoffice.org Just FYI, if you are not part of the design team and happen to have creative talents, we are in need of some LibreOffice buttons for external use. I have left a range of sizes that are needed on the design mailing list[1]. I know the design team is pretty busy with other projects, so, if you are able to help out with this, it would be well appreciated. This would be one less work item that we could cross off our list. Note that once the buttons are designed and approved, we will be able to host them on our servers for external use. I have also left a list of links on the design mailing list that you can use as referral and inspiration. [2] We would need the buttons in both png and svg. Svg will allow others to localize the buttons.
