[libreoffice-documentation] Base Guide 6.4 & EPUB of v6.2

2020-05-20 Thread Pulkit Krishna
Hello Everybody,
I have uploaded the first drafts of all the remaining chapters
(7,8,10,11&12) of Base Guide 6.4 to the Drafts folder. For last few days I
did not had good Internet connection, so I was unable to upload them. I
have moved chapter 0,1 & 9 to Published folder. I have accepted all changes
made by Dan to chapter 2 and moved the file back to Drafts folder.

Jean: Can you see to the formatting of chapter 2?

As for the EPUB file of Base Guide 6.2, I have moved it to the published
folder and have uploaded it to the wiki. Maybe it should also be linked in
the main Documentation website(I am not sure if EPUB versions are linked
there).

Hi Peter,

Chapter 11 Advanced Draw Techniques of the Draw Guide Version 6.4 is now in the

I have uploaded my review. In addition I have added two files. One
contains my changes to section "Dimensioning options" and the other one
the drawings from which I have created the illustrations.

That was my last review for the next time. I have plenty of other work

Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Arc

Hi Phil

phil valenzuela schrieb am 20-May-20 um 03:39:

How can I create an arc with your drawing software? Thank you. phil"Una vez un
amigo, siempre un amigo"

The 'arc' is in the set 'Basic shapes' in the drawing toolbar.

1. click on the icon
2. click, hold down mouse button and drag. You will see the ellipse
which determines the arc.
3. release mouse button. Now you see a radius line. That is the line to
the start point of the arc. Move the mouse so that the line is at the
desired start point. Click with the mouse, no mouse button down.
4. Move the mouse. Now you see the arc. Move the mouse to the desired
end point.

5. Click to finish the drawing.

In case you need to change start or endpoint later, select the arc and
then click the icon "Points". Now the start and the end points have
handles to drag them.

Kind regards
Regina

Re: [libreoffice-documentation] 6.x template file

2020-05-20 Thread Jean Weber
Regarding covers, on books I’ve done, I have been modifying the template to
make the name of the guide larger and the version number smaller. Several
people commented on that months ago (last year?) and I agreed.

I’ve lost track of which interior template is the preferred one. All have
some problems (for example, with footers) that I correct when I check files
and compile books, but I don’t do all the books. I know PeterS proposed
some changes several years ago, and he and some others are (I think) using
his version, but I’m using a different one. I don’t think it much matters
(the differences are minor, and few users are likely to notice or care. WE
may care, but we’re not typical. 

Re: [libreoffice-documentation] 6.x template file

2020-05-20 Thread Martin Srebotnjak
Hi,

there is some confusion, yes, as can be seen on the page
https://documentation.libreoffice.org/en/english-documentation/

Covers for guides of same-release modules or suite (i.e. 6.4) seem not
follow the same cover template (just looking at the size of "6.4" on those
preview pics).

Some design unification/check prior to publication is probably welcome.

[libreoffice-documentation] 6.x template file

2020-05-20 Thread Steve Fanning

All,

For the sake of clarity, I believe that the master template for 6.x
guides is the file LibreOffice_6.x_Template.ott, in the Nextcloud folder
LibreOffice Documentation > English > Contributor Resources.

Please could anybody who thinks otherwise provide information about
an alternative location?

Regards,

Steve
