[libreoffice-documentation] Re: Seeking User Test of LO Base install for SQLite in Windows

2022-05-22 Thread flywire
Regarding the user testing comment "there's too much text about how to
create an empty [SQLite] file" (BG7302-CreatingADatabase). It is also noted
the Windows File Explorer instruction does not work with the default
configuration of View unselected File name extensions, and the SQLite
username and password are not relevant to this section.

The following is suggested as a simple OS independent alternative to
replace the whole section:

Initial preparations before connecting to a SQLite file

I would like more information on this change to the UI so that I

This is not entirely accurate. There are 8 variants and Tabbed is one of
them.

Before we make a decision about the default UI, I would like to see
designers come up with improvements on how styles are presented in all
the UIs: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149230

I will be actively pointing new designers to this task until a
satisfactory solution is found.

Apple brought out a Touch Bar on some of the Macs, which was a
physical option not software, but software was involved. Apple are now
rethinking the Touch Bar, according to the news pundits, and it may be

From the marketing side: as I'm watching our social media channels, I'm
seeing more and more requests to make the NotebookBar the default user

are many other factors in such a decision, and of course it'd be a lot
