You will see the issue, then you can fix it. 73, Lee A trick that can help. Use an ohm meter to find where its shorting. If nothing is evident on visual inspection stick a sheet of paper into each space until you find one that makes the short go away. If there is more than one shorted spot you may have to put several sheets of paper in. Usually, you will find that something is slightly bent or has arced or something has fallen into the plates. -- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles WB6KBL dickb...@ix.netcom.com ___ Drakelist mailing list Drakelist@zerobeat.net http://mailman.zerobeat.net/mailman/listinfo/drakelist

Re: [Drakelist] Drake
It would be a help if you would give us a name and call if you have one so we can get to know you a little. Also, it would help if we knew which Drake gear in specific that interests you. There is a WIDE range of Drakes, so it helps to narrow down some. There is a WEALTH of knowledge on this reflector that is readily shared, but help us some with specifics. 73 and welcome to the group, Don, WB5HAK___ Drakelist mailing list Drakelist@zerobeat.net http://mailman.zerobeat.net/mailman/listinfo/drakelist
Re: [Drakelist] Drake
Pat, Try looking here for a lot of good data on the Drake radios. http://www.dproducts.be/drake_museum/ http://www.wb4hfn.com/ http://www.zerobeat.net/ http://www.mail-archive.com/drakelist@zerobeat.net/ Those just come to mind, but there are others as well. drake radio on google or youtube will also bring up a good selection of sites. Those will likely get you a lot of good data. And if you are a new ham, take a look around eham.com, qth.com, arrl.org, qsl.net to name a few.
