Peronally, I'd just change it over to another type of jack. This is one case
where keeping things original defies all sense, common or otherwise.

Go to a fabric/sewing supply store, it comes in several Widths/colors,
and has a gummed back with peel off covering. I just got some for
another project.

Thanks, but I'm not overly optimistic. The best I've tried so far is
Industrial Strength Velcro brand found at the aforementioned hardware
store, and it's starting to come loose after not quite a week. The cheap
stuff doesn't last a day. I really don't want to have to epoxy it to the
dash, but that's what it may take.

I was just in an Ace Hardware store last weekend, and noted that they have
brass (and copper) tubing in various small sizes. I still haven't found Velco
that will stick to a dashboard, though...

By the way, on the L-4B parts lists, February 1, 1971 they were
described as:

Plug, VOX Relay, 2 Pin..$0.20

Is that what they call inflation? :)

Peronally, I'd just change it over to another type of jack. This is one case
