[Dri-devel] XFree86 Version 4.1.99.1 (DRI trunk)

2001-09-24 Thread Frank Jacobberger

I was able to successfully make World on this 4.1.99.1 ..
but after make install and reboot the log file shows my
dilemma:

(II) Loading /usr/X11R6-DRI/lib/modules/fonts/libbitmap.a
(II) Module bitmap: vendor="The XFree86 Project"
compiled for 4.1.99.1, module version = 1.0.0
Module class: XFree86 Font Renderer
ABI class: XFree86 Font Renderer, version 0.3
Symbol mcount from module /usr/X11R6-DRI/lib/modules/fonts/libbitmap.a
is unresolved!

How to fix this would be helpful.

Thanks,

Frank

[Dri-devel] Dri-devel XFree86 Version 4.1.99.1 (DRI trunk) - revisited

2001-09-26 Thread Frank Jacobberger

The host.def settings are:

This results in an error:

Any other ideas?

I have the radeon.o compiled and it works fine... BUT...

the bottom line is DRI has been "CHECKED INTO" XFree86 CVS as of 10-2-01.
So why anyone would want to try building DRI from CVS here.. especially
since the libs are hosed for a full server install is beyond me.

I haven't had a decent compile of DRI from CVS since early August.

[Dri-devel] radeon 7500 re shiny chutes environ map

2002-03-13 Thread Frank Jacobberger

The latest dri/package (radeon-20020313-0439-i386-Linux.tar.bz2) for
radeon still doesn't correctly render the chutes in Tribes 2. About one
week ago the shiny environment map for the chutes did have their
characteristic shiny appearance.

Now the "shiny environment map" is gone. So far the last four revisions
of radeon-200203xx-04xx-i386-Linux.tar.bz2 haven't had the shiny
appearance either. I have been using X 4.2.0-6.xx built from source.

Has this enhancement been dropped from dri for now?

Thanks,

Frank

[Dri-devel] Bug 529551 resolved

2002-03-14 Thread Frank Jacobberger

Just disable VERTEX LIGHTING under the Graphics tab in
Settings for Tribes 2 enables the "shiny environment map".

Don't know if enabling Vertex Lighting is required, a
enhancement to Graphics or simply away to disable certain
effects.

Anyone with knowledge on this issue could comment.

Frank

[Dri-devel] Was this addressed - ATI_texture_env_combine3

2003-01-07 Thread Frank Jacobberger
The following is missing from the r200 driver:

ATI_texture_env_combine3

Hence when trying to play ut2k3, all I see when playing is
colliding triangles??

When will ATI_texture_env_combine3 be added?

Thanks,

Frank

I sure hope there will be yet another r200 bleeding edge before you
merge again.
