[dspace-tech] DataCite metadata schema 4.5

2024-03-27 Thread Pascal-Nicolas Becker
Hi,

DataCite has announced that it will no longer accept metadata in version 3 of
the metadata schema from the end of 2024. We at The Library Code have updated
the DataCite metadata schema in DSpace to version 4.5. This will be included in
DSpace 8 and DSpace 7.6.2. We recommend that you adapt the file
DIM2DataCite.xsl to your local metadata schemas. If you want to use the
DataCite schema 4.5 before migrating to DSpace 8 or 7.6.2 (which is not
released yet), you can find the source code as follow.

 - The code changes can be found here: https://lnkd.in/ecUFq-3X
 - The new Dim2DataCite.xsl can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eaAEmjux

Best regards,
  Pascal

[dspace-tech] Upgrade Spring version from 5.3.27 to 5.3.32 due to vulnerability issue

2024-03-27 Thread Salony Permanand
Hello All,

I am using DSpace 7.6 version .

I have an vulnerability issue with Spring version in my Dspace

It throws warning as "Applications that use 'UriComponentsBuilder' to parse
an externally provided URL (e.g. through a query parameter) AND perform
validation checks on
the host of the parsed URL may be vulnerable to a open redirect attack"

The only solution available is upgrade from 5.3.27 to 5.3.32(which is
secure version).

But when I am trying to upgrade it create lots of issues with DSpace
version and not supported.

Can anyone help regarding that and suggest what to do

Any help is highly appreciated

[dspace-tech] Actions and steps from workflow

2024-03-27 Thread Rafael Bértoli
Hello.

Currently, we are working on developing the workflow. Our aim is to
integrate a new custom action that requires UI into our existing custom
step. Consequently, our custom step will have the following defined actions:

This setup is functioning properly. However, there's an issue when
accepting the item and completing the "editaction". It initiates a new
claim_task with the action_id: "customaction" but fails to delete the
previous action. Consequently, an error occurs because when searching for
claimtasks related to a specific workflow item, it identifies two
claimtasks, resulting in an error.

I am uncertain whether this is a bug or if it is not permissible to declare
two actions that require UI in the same step. Thanks

[dspace-tech] Re: disable browse subject tree

2024-03-27 Thread Emilia Lobo
Hello!

I want to try to do the same or replace that search so that I can perform
it by document type for example.

What files should I modify?
Are the changes made from DSpace and from dspace-angular?
Thanks.

Re: [dspace-tech] Re: disable browse subject tree

2024-03-27 Thread 'Bill Tantzen' via DSpace Technical Support
I discovered this setting in config.yml, and documented here:
https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/User+Interface+Configuration

  - filter: 'subject'
vocabulary: 'srsc'
enabled: false

Setting this to false in tandem with the setting in dspace.cfg noted above
will get rid of any 'browse by subject tree' options.
