[dspace-tech] Re: After community creation it's not displaying on UI listing.

2024-07-05 Thread 'Manish Kumar' via DSpace Technical Support
Hi team,

Please help me on this, why I am not able to see communities/collections
listing on ui ?. It's working if I copy the path of the item during first
time creation from browser url and at new tab or same tab if I use that url
then it shows the chain of the item and also I can see recent submissions
item on same page but communities are not showing.

2024-07-05 Thread 'Manish Kumar' via DSpace Technical Support
Hi all,

I have used dspace angular docker image 7.6.1 and deployed on gcp
kubernetes, I can see my application is running in workloads but when
hitting the url it says Invalid Host header * with http status 304. *

I have not found any errors in UI logs, adding below.

Dear Tim,

About this, if for example, I am going to use the embedded Tomcat in a
production server, what would you suggest as the best practice for
starting the server-boot.jar automatically? Should it be run via crontab
at reboot? Or as a service? Can you point us to some examples of how to
start the embedded tomcat upon reboot?

since nobody stepped ahead… here is a _very basic_ unit for systemd, it
does not check for errors.
Its was just a quick test, feel free to extend and upgrade. No warranty,
so. Adjust the ReadWritePaths to your needs.

Re: [Extern] [dspace-tech] Dspace Backend missing files

Hi Danil,

Hello, I followed the Dspace 7 installation guide, but when deploying
the backend, I encountered a problem.

At the URL: [ip]:8080/server, I see the following error (see the first
screenshot). I noticed that when you run the ant fresh_install command,
the structure of the webapps folder should be webapps/server/browser.
However, after successfully running the ant command, the structure is
webapps/server/js. Manually creating the browser folder did not help.

seems you are mixing something. "browser" is part oft the dspace-angular
frontend app, which is separate of the backend.

My webapps/server looks like this

index.html
js/
login.html
META-INF/
styles.css
WEB-INF/
