Hi Ed. Yes indeed, the zip file contains the mets.xml file. Anyway, I tried with another file, which was the one located on the example directory of Sword, inside the Dspace source directory. In our case: /home/dspace/dspace5/dspace-5.1-source/dspace-sword/example/example.zip This time the process finished ok. Re: [Dspace-tech] Recent Submissions Customization
Hi, After reading several tutorials on how to customize XMLUI, and making some research about similar experiences, this is what I've understood until now: In first place, there are two main files where we've to look: 1- ..\themes\dri2xhtml\DIM-Handler.xsl 2- ..\themes\dri2xhtml\structural.xsl In second place, we've to create/edit a file to override some parameters: 3- ..\themes\Reference\reference.xsl As you can see, I'm working with the Reference Theme. According the instructions of Terry, a way to control the visualization of the Recent Submissions is to create a new view, overriding some xls templates: Looking in the file structural.xsl, I only can assume that the piece of code that we've to copy and edit is this: ... cocoon:/ ?rightsMDTypes=METSRIGHTS External Metadata URL: But I'm not sure. I can't go on beyond with the suggestions of Terry. I don't yet understand what changes should be made. By the other hand, I've found this example on the Internet: http://dspace.2283337.n4.nabble.com/How-to-customize-DSpace-3-0-XMLUI-Discovery-Recent-Submissions-display-td4661051.html According to Helix, we've to modify the xsl file from our theme (reference.xsl) and override a template: ... ... Is this approach an alternative to make the changes that I'm looking for? Thanks for your help!! Hi: We have items in multiple collections at once. This was done using the Item Mapper. It is supposed that all the collections which each item is related will be listed in the description page of the item. But it is not happening. Only one collection is listed, but not the others. By the other hand, when an user with administrator privileges is logged in, all the collections are listed. Any ideas about this strange behavior? Best regards, Bender -- Slashdot TV. [Dspace-tech] OAI diacritics problem
Hi: In our Dspace 3.2 Repository, we've enabled OAI. Our metadata is in spanish, where a lot of words have chars with diacritics. The visualization of the metadata in XMULI interface is fine, there's no problem with the accented words or special chars. But when we visit de OAI interface, the metadata show two interrogation signs "??", in place where there should be an accented char, like "í" "é", etc. Here is an example: The OAI metadata record, actually is showing this in the web browser: Publicaci??n biling??e But the correct words we should be looking like this: Publicación bilingüe I don't know if there is any configuration that I've missed in the process of enabling OAI. I followed the oficial documentation on this matter. Or may be there is a problem with the OAI Web intreface. The database, web explorer are setted to use UTF-8. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Re: [Dspace-tech] RES: Dspace statistics
Many thanks for your answers people!! You give me several ideas on how to achieve this goal. Keir. We only use Apache Tomcat as Web server. But I think your command should work with it's log as well. Hilton. This is an interesting method. I'm not an expert on SOLR querys. So, I've to study this deeply. If you, or anybody else, know a query to count diferent kinds of dspace bitstreams (txt, pdf, jpg, etc), it would be great, and will be apprecitaed. Michelangelo. This is interesting, because using Awstat I could give a tool to the final users, so they can to review the statistics on their own, at any place and any time they want. Thanks for the advice.
