RE: [DSTAR_DIGITAL] Re: REF003 tests

2009-08-22 Thread Richard Hoskin

Reflector 3 had some problems that we believe have been resolved.

It appears the problem was related to some of the back-end reflector
application files and rights becoming scrambled when the reflector was
migrated to the new hardware last month. This stopped the reflector from
receiving any updates including changes of gateway IP addresses.

All systems should now be able to access the reflector.

The general usage of Reflector 3 is;

Port C - Default link for most VK3 (Melbourne) and some VK2 (Sydney) VK4
(Brisbane) repeater port Cs.

Port B - Default link for most Australian repeater port Bs.

Port A - Emergency and ad hock use.

In the future we will migrate the VK2 (Sydney) Port Cs to Reflector 23 Port
C.

  Hi Everybody,
I'm wondering if Dplus users around the world can try some things out
 for me?
Can you try to link your gateway modules to REF003, on any/all reflector
modules and see if you can successfully link.
Can you also please try to Dplus link to VK5RWN C?
Can you please report back to me directly via email.

REF003 has not been accessible from here (Scotland - local repeater GB7DE
B/C) for a few weeks. On each occasion that I try linking either to 003B
or 003C the message Remote system is currently busy is broadcast. I have
also tried VK3RWBCL and the same message comes over.
I am missing contacts into VK!

[dstar_digital] JOTA on D-Star?

2008-10-09 Thread Richard Hoskin
Hi,

Has there been any organized D-Star activities for JOTA 2008.

Is there going to be a dedicated international JOTA reflector or other
services?

I've been approached by a few scouting groups interested in demonstrating
using D-Star for JOTA.

Cheers

Richard

[dstar_digital] D-Star VK HamFest

2008-09-12 Thread Richard Hoskin

Hello,

We will be demonstrating D-Star at the Shepparton Hamfest in Victoria
Australia from 00:00hrs UTC to 04:00hrs UTC on Sunday the 14th of September.

We will be using the VK3RWW B D-Star repeater for the event and would like
to hear from D-Star stations world wide to show local hams the fun that you
can have with D-Star.

Note that dplus may not be running on the repeaters gateway so callsign
routing to /VK3RWWB will be required.

Hi Adrian,

If you read the illustration disclaimer on the bottom right of the picture
it would answer your question.

This is not the correct forum to discuses Australian centric items.

This was one re; Application 4, illustrated on the Icom Australia Site
 Mr Hoskins,

Why would Icom Australia portray DD as a going concern like this?
