Re: [DX-CHAT] ER4DX
On 6 Sept I posted my comments regarding the problems of receiving QSL cards from ER land. This was after a rather lengthy thread on this subject. I stated that I had worked 5 ER stations and never received a card. I even identified who they were. Since then I received two cards within the past two days and I feel compelled to set the record straight. So I'm posting this to let everyone know that I received a card from ER1QQ via the bureau for a QSO on 11 Sep 01, and also one direct from ER7HQ for a QSO on 14 July 02. I cannot determine if the ER1QQ card was in response to receiving my card or not, but the ER7HQ definitely was. I don't know if this information sheds any light on this matter, but there is a lesson in it for me. 73, Ken W4OFE Subscribe/unsubscribe, feedback, FAQ, problems http://njdxa.org/dx-chat To post a message, DX related items only, [EMAIL PROTECTED] This is the DX-CHAT reflector sponsored by the NJDXA http://njdxa.org

Thanks to all those who replied to my query. It appears that some have been lucky but most are still waiting. I have sent a card through the bureau to see if this has any luck. The trouble is it will be a couple of years before I get a result. On November 5 I received his QSLs in return. I have also exchanged cards via bureau with ER1LW for a QSO in March 2000. I received that card 29 July this year. Re: [DX-CHAT] ER4DX
Hello Jay and Frank. In March 2000 I worked Val, ER1DA and Willy ER4DX on 20m phone just 2 minutes apart. Sent both a card and got one back from ER1DA. I didn't check to see how long it took but I recommend trying to catch Val. I do have an email address for Val if you would like to have it. Not sure its still good. 73 Lynn AF4CD In a message dated 09/06/2002 9:58:02 AM Eastern Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: << You can join the club of those who have not been able to have contacts confirmed by ER4DX. The problem, as has been mentioned before on this and other reflectors, is that a significant percentage of active amateurs in Moldova are not getting the mail in the first place... it is being intercepted somewhere enroute. Griping here won't change that. While I heartily agree that any and/or all of these stations could use a sure manager to help us out, if they are so inclined to do so, you need to suggest that to them directly. Meantime, I'd suggest sending cards via the bureau, and note on them that this is a 2nd or 3rd request as the others went direct. Re: [DX-CHAT] ER4DX
I'd suggest contacting Joe W3HNK. He seems to have an almost-magical "pipeline" in & out of Russia for QSL'ing stations when direct fails due to, shall we say, "intercepts." I don't know if he could help out with the Moldovian stations, so I'd suggest dropping an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] first. Can't hurt to ask... 73, ron wn3vaw When asked "If you had been in President Clinton's place, would you have resigned?", Republican Member of the House of Representatives Dick Armey replied: "If I were in the President's place, I would not have gotten a chance to resign.
