For me, it would suffice to see the battery state in the (collapsed) indicator. (I.e. in the top row). Currently the mouse is in the top row, showing nothing but (estimating...), which does not help at all. Public bug reported: When searching for applications in Unity's Dash search box, the 'e' character is never displayed. Strangly, all I see is a blank space. For example, if I type abcdefg I actually see abcd fg. It's as if the font is missing an 'e'. This only seems to happen in the Dash's search box. Other applications (e.g. Gedit, Firefox etc.) display the 'e' correctly although I have noticed occasional screen corruption when rendering characters in some cases. Public bug reported: I opened a file from an archive and it opens with Inkscape. First windows that opens is some notice/error, but it does not show up in the bar, if I have sotheng ense on top, the only way to access it is to minimize all those windows. It does not appear on ALT+TAB either. See screenshots. I am using gnome-panel-3.8.0-1ubuntu1 in trusty. In gnome-flashback- compiz session adding indicator-applet-appmenu crashes gnome-panel. (bug #1222339).
