[Dx4win] DX4WIN with IC-746

2003-01-10 Thread Wayne F. King
Anyone using an Icom-746 with DX4WIN out there?

What address are you using in your radio setup parameters?

Dx4WIN can read my 746 only after booting up and manually starting the
radio. When I start DX4WIN I get this pop up window?
Radio Timed Out, then interface disabled and an exception occurred.
0050fa74. adr f

Like I mentioned above, DX4WIN reads the radio just fine after I have it
going but I need to start the radio manually and then go into real time
logging.

Here are my set-up parameters:

Radio 746 address is 56 baud is 9600
com 1poll 1000 max tries 6

Also the windows for the radio, com port and cw keyer are NOT filing in
with the information. They are blank. Nothing in them but when checking
them the correct info is shaded blue. Nothing else is on com 1 and there
are no conflicts.

I know this is not right because I have DX4WIN running on my other
computer with my TEN TEC Omni VI+ and it is fine. So I believe DX4WIN is
looking for another address for the IC-746 or different info then I
have supplied.

[Dx4win] DX4WIN with IC-746

2003-01-10 Thread Tom Branch
Wayne,

My setup is Icom 746, Address 56, 1200 Baud, Default Checked, COM 1,
1000ms, 5 tries, RTS High Checked.

I'm not using an Icom CIV--mine requires the RTS High to get power to the
interface.

Bill W7TVF is having this same problem. WinPsk doesn't put the proper header
on the ADIF file - there is no EOH statement. There may be other problems.
Contact the WinPSK developer to see if he's working on a fix.

[Dx4win] Need help with DXSpot/packet problem

2003-01-10 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Floyd Sense)
Running 5.03, and have been for some time. Everything has been fine until
this morning when my system suffered an outage with DX4WIN up. When I
powered the system up again, I got a warning message from DX4WIN saying:
Incompatible DXSPOT file ignored.. The result was that the spot window
wouldn't open. So, I changed the packet interface from a com port to
TCP/IP, and was able to connect to an Internet source and receive spots OK.
However, when I changed back to a com port for the spot source, DX4WIN
doesn't seem to be communicating with the TNC. Tried deleting and
reinstalling the com port in Win XP and that went OK. Still no ability to
communicate with DX4WIN through the port. Any ideas what to try next?
