[Dx4win] DX4WIN and Omni VII
I want to hook up an Omni VII to DX4WIN as a second radio in DX4WIN using a standard 9-pin COM port. I don't know what kind of connector the radio has on the back (it's 2000 miles away). What kind of serial cable do I need for it, and what are the standard baud rate, etc. settings in DX4WIN? Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN and Omni VII
You just need a standard 9 pin serial cable. The settings are: Address: 00 Baud Rate: 57600 DTR High - Unchecked RTS High - Checked At least that's what works on mine! 73, Alan N5NA http://www.tentecwiki.org Jim Reisert AD1C wrote: I want to hook up an Omni VII to DX4WIN as a second radio in DX4WIN using a standard 9-pin COM port. [Dx4win] Using Telnet
Hi, A Ham friend of mine has downloaded the latest version. He is trying to get the RTTY telnet to work. Can feature be used with demo software? I use an older version pre LOTW. Tnx, 73, Bernie/WO2N. What do you mean by RTTY telnet? I've never heard of this! If you mean telnet to a DX Cluster, you must configure Packet1 preferences to Type=Regular, COM Port=TCP/IP. Then when the Packet Window comes up, right-click and select Internet connection. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/Ø, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.us ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
[Dx4win] How do you un-associate a file
Okay, now I've gone and done it. I was trying to help a friend with DX4WIN and I opened my dx4win.tcp file by right clicking on the file and clicking on Open with Now I've got the file associated with notepad. Can someone please tell me how to un-associate note pad to this file. I've tried right clicking and going into properties and then changing the association but there is nothing that will let me choose associate with nothingit's another program or not at all. I'm using XP SP2 and DX4WIN Ver 6.04 Thanks in advance for the help Brian KA7KUZ ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
Re: [Dx4win] Using Telnet
Jin, When I connect to packet via Internet, it is the RTTY Window in Dx4win where I right click and select Internet connection. I think this is what is meant by RTTY telnet. Re: [Dx4win] How do you un-associate a file
Why? DX4WIN doesn't care if it's associated with Notepad. Just makes it that much easier if you decide to edit the dx4win.tcp file since you use a text editor to do that. 73, Alan N5NA Brian Spindor wrote: Okay, now I've gone and done it. Re: [Dx4win] How do you un-associate a file
So if you really want to un-associate the .tcp file you would hold the SHIFT key down then right mouse click on the file. Select Open With and change the file association. As Aln pointed out WHY? Notepad is about as thin easy to edit the .tcp file. 73; w2mw Kurt W. Re: [Dx4win] Using Telnet
Are you sure you're talking about DX4WIN and not some other program, like Writelog? The RTTY window in DX4WIN has nothing to do with packet. The RTTY window layout *may* resemble the packet window, but the RTTY window says RTTY at the top, and the Packet Window says Packet Window at the top. If you can send me some screen captures, I might be able to understand what you think you see. 73 - Jim AD1C On 6/23/2008 8:52 PM, Paul Ferguson wrote: Jin, When I connect to packet via Internet, it is the RTTY Window in Dx4win where I right click and select Internet connection.
