Re: [Dx4win] wish list for 8.02 or later

2009-09-01 Thread ON4AOI
Mike,
With a little hardware it is possible to have 2 rotators and other antennas
Connected to dx4win.
Let us assume that you have only 1 radio and identical rotators.

In preferences|radio tab|set the second radio equal to the first radio
In preferences|CW tab|set the RADIO 1/2 signal to lpt1-2 or 3 (reverse can
be set also)
Save and exit
Now you can switch from radio1 to radio2 with ctrl+shift+F12 even it is the
same radio
But when You do this PIN 14 of the selected LPT port is low (radio1) and
high (radio2)
If you connect a relay to pin14 you can switch the serialport from motor1 to
motor2
Also antennas can be switch via this way.

  Hi gang!
I still wonder why DX4WIN has only one port for antenna rotator
control? I am very disappointed with this . Many of us have more as one
tower/rotaror. I have 3 towers with Yaesu rotators but I can control
only one. What to do with the rest?

mixer settings that were not correct... it's easy to get confused with 2

One thing you can do, if you have WSPR is run it and it enumerates all
the mixer devices on the console.

 Hi Folks,

Is anyone successfully running PSK-31 through DX4WIN 8.01 on a
secondary sound card, i.e. not the Windows default?

In my Control preferences, I've tried 0, 1 and 2 and in all three
cases, I get PTT but no transmitted audio.

Digipan stand-alone with the same sound card works OK. I'm using a
microHam microKEYER. I believe this used to work with 7.07, but I
don't use it often enough to remember (I prefer the multi-channel
 decode in Digipan).

[Dx4win] QSO Notes

2009-09-01 Thread Andrew Cowan GM0UDL
Would it be possible to increase the number of characters for qso note
available via the contest mode text to add for qso to add more info.

As my idea of multiple entries for each band went down so well for
tracking antenna/radio changes etc.

Thanks

[Dx4win] How to print QSL's not printed yet?

2009-09-01 Thread Dennis Petrich
Hello all,

I just finished printing over 1000 QSL lables but the print date didn't get
entered/set on over 500 that I wanted to print but didn''t print for some
reason? Is their some flag I can set that will print all QSL's that haven't
been printed? I did notice that many of the later dated QSL's that did
print I had received a confirmation for.

So how do I print the remaining QSL's that don't have a print date yet?

Thanks for the help, Dennis, k0eoo

Previously, I could press F3 and the lookup would provide the information.

I'm not aware that DX4WIN Update QSO functions when the data is read

Re: [Dx4win] ICOM 761

2009-09-01 Thread Randy Farmer

Looking for someone who is using an ICOM-761 with DX4WIN. Which radio
file do you use? what is the address for the radio?

I don't have one, but it's my understanding that the IC-761 is
essentially an IC-751 in a bigger box. I took a look at the Icom CI-V
Reference Manual and it indeed shows the same command set for the
751, 751A and 761.

I also had a look at my file of the 761 manual, which shows how to
configure the radio. The manual doesn't really say what the address
is, but it shows a drawing of the DIP switch (S2) that sets it.
According to the CI-V reference manual, the default address is 1E
hex. The default baud rate is 1200, also changeable via another DIP
switch (S1). It will also be necessary to turn Transceive mode off on
S1 to make the radio play nice with most software. This
information appears on page 26 of the 761 manual.

Hope this helps.
