Re: [Dx4win] Checking eQSL, LoTW or QSL DXCC

This is a change from 8.04 to 8.05. That way when you check the QSL box in the award manager so you can only submit QSL cards to ARRL, it won't try to submit QSL cards for QSOs that were already credited from LoTW confirmations. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] any help?
I have 550 qso's listed in my log book with out any date so they show up as invalid call sign. How do I get rid of these contacts? [Dx4win] Group number question
Hi All, I just joined the list to learn how to use DX4Win. I have a small log that I started when I did a SE station using a different call than mine. So far so good... But then I added about 30 or so contacts to that log when I didn't want them there! So now it has QSO's that should be there and QSO's that should not be there. All those that need to be moved have their own group number. I can't find any way to only save or export that one group of QSO's. Can that be done or must I do it all manually? [Dx4win] ADIF import from JT65-HF
Greetings all, I've started playing with JT65-HF and wanted to import the ADIF file that it creates. Apparently, it does not put a header in front of the data which, according to the ADIF spec that I read, is optional. However, when I try to import into D4W, it issues an error that the header can't be read and aborts the import. I can fix it trivially by editing the .ADI file to add a dummy header, but I'm wondering if this is a bug in D4W or if I've misread the spec and a header is actually required? If it's the former, hopefully it'll get logged as a bug and fixed, if the latter. I'll put in a bug request against JT65 HF. -- 73, David, K2DBK http://k2dbk.blogspot.com http://k2dbk.com twitter: @k2dbk __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] computer control of FT 2000
I am using DX4WIN version 7.02. There are no defaults for setting DX 4Win to control the Yaesu FT 2000. A friend with a newer version gave me the defaults which did not work. There are signs that some of the commands are coming through from the computer, but after a minute or so, it tells me it has timed out. I have read the posts about controlling the 2000, and tried to make sure all the other settings in the menu are correct. Any help would be appreciated. Re: [Dx4win] Group number question
Hi Ron, This is an easy problem. Use the Filter Search function - F8. Then type the Group number of the QSOs you want to move and hit return. Now you have a subset of your log containing only the QSOs with that Group number. You can now export them (File, Export, pick a format, then in the Filter Window, File, Export) and do whatever you'd like. BTW, I wish I knew you were in Brenda - I've gone through there a hundred times, and did again just last weekend. We'll have an eyeball one of these days. 73, Bud N7CW (also AOCC) -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of KU7Y Sent: Sunday, March 13, 2011 5:50 PM To: DX4Win Subject: [Dx4win] Group number question Hi All, I just joined the list to learn how to use DX4Win. Re: [Dx4win] ADIF import from JT65-HF
The file actually doesn't have a header at all. The first line was a CALL:6 just like any other data record. The issue seems to be that D4W expects there to always be a header. I re-read the spec, and it says: Optional header information may be included before the actual data in the file and If the first character of a file is , it is presumed to be the first field of the first data record. The issue seems to be that D4W expects there to always be a header. You just need an EOH at the top of the file, before the first QSO. That signals to DX4WIN that the header is done and the QSOs are to begin. In this case, the header is empty, but DX4WIN still requires the end of header separator. It also keeps DX4WIN from reading files as ADIF that are NOT ADIF (yes, they could have '' as the first character on a line). I believe that DX4WIN is doing the right thing. I'll ping the ADIF reflector, as you pointed out, it does not explicitly say that EOH is required, but I believe most developers have inferred this. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Missing LoTW Confirmations
I just noticed that the ARRL says I have received confirmation for an LoTW contact with KV4FZ on 160M. (From the list of Show confirmed QSOs only in the Most recent QSLs and in Most recent QSOs. I downloaded the file and imported them to DX4WIN (Ver 8.04), but the QSO does not show up as confirmed. I wonder how many others might I might be missing? What should I do, or do again, to get this to show as confirmed. Next - I also just recently noticed confirmed countries in my Country window and my Zone window shows it unconfirmed(the zone in the QSO file has the proper zone). Any VERY DETAILED help would sure be appreciated.
