[Dx4win] LoTW eQSL utility
Anyone using this utility? Wondering if it makes it any less painful http://www.n2amg.com/software/lotw_eqsl_utility/ 73 Tex ka5y __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] LoTW eQSL utility
I downloaded it to try. It wouldn't install unless I let it update some of my system files! I'm very leery of letting a program do this. It may not be malicious but I wonder if some of my already installed program will fail to work. 73, Roger On 10/11/2012 10:12 AM, Paul (Tex) Herson wrote: Anyone using this utility? This is how I do it: 1. Export to LoTW (gets only the QSOs that haven't been uploaded yet) 2. Sign the exported ADIF log using TQSL 3. Upload signed log to LoTW 4. Download ADIF report file from LotW 5. Import from LoTW, using the ADIF report file just downloaded You will always have to to steps #1, #4 and #5, whether you use the program or not. Then additionally: 6. Upload ADIF log exported in step #1 above to eQSL 7. Upload ADIF log exported in step #1 above to ClubLog - Jim -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] LoTW eQSL utility
I very much doubt there will be a problem. Rick, N2AMG is a very good programmer, who is responsible for the digital side of N1MM Logger. He works in Visual Basic, which requires a run-time component. Such components typically are carefully designed to be backward compatible, so that installing a later version will proceed without a hitch. It's programs that substitute *earlier* versions that, typically, screw things up. 73, Pete N4ZR The World Contest Station Database, at www.conteststations.com The Reverse Beacon Network at http://reversebeacon.net, blog at reversebeacon.blogspot.com, spots at telnet.reversebeacon.net, port 7000 and arcluster.reversebeacon.net, port 7000 On 10/11/2012 11:12 AM, Roger D Johnson wrote: I downloaded it to try. [Dx4win] Radio Timeout
I am running a K3 with DX4WIN, 8.05. Computer is running Windows 7. When I am working split, going from the listening frequency to the transmit frequency to hear the pile up, causes the radio to time out. I use the XFC button to do this. Any ideas? Hi Tom, I am not a K3 user, but one work-around is to NOT be in real-time logging mode (F9) when you do this. Just escape and DX4WIN will show your last QSO in the QSO window. Just after you have worked the station, type F9 then log the QSO. I operate this way 99.44% of the time. The only exception is when I want to engage the Bandmap, which requires real-time logging to be active. I am also a bit superstitious, and don't want the call in my log before I've worked it. - Jim -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Radio Timeout
Tom, I do not run Windows 7, but my K3 works great with DX4WIN. I run XP and I use the K3 X4 file within DX4WIN as my radio file. I log everything in real time without a problem. Feel free to email direct to discuss in more detail.
