Re: [Dx4win] International Grid Chase
Hello Lee, Guess you're right. You can add the HF bands to VUCC on the Awards window, but no on the Station tab in Preferences and they don't appear in the report. Oh well. Since the award ONLY counts LoTW confirmations, it's easy enough to just track it there. -- 73, Mike Cizek WØVTT From: Lee Hallin [mailto:hall...@lanecc.edu] Sent: Thursday, January 11, 2018 16:54 To: Mike Cizek W0VTT; Lee Hallin; dx4win@mailman.qth.net; Dave Perry N4QS Subject: Re: [Dx4win] International Grid Chase Hi Mike, Doesn't look like you can (or I don't know how to) select any additional bands for the VUCC award. Re: [Dx4win] New V.9.0.4 malfunction on XP
Just replied to Bob privately. After a long search for my power supply for my XP laptop I can confirm what Bob is seeing. It may be related to the fact that I disabled the skinning of menus. Fortunately for Bob and other XP users, all seems to work if no Skin is selected. --Paul On Thu, Jan 11, 2018 at 9:14 AM, David Kozinn, K2DBK wrote: > I'm not using Windows XP but I'm curious: Do you see the same thing if you > use the keypad - or + keys to adjust the speed? I'm not using Windows XP but I'm curious: Do you see the same thing if you use the keypad - or + keys to adjust the speed? (To be honest, I didn't even know about Alt-F9 & Alt-F10, I've always just used the - and +). One comment I'll throw out to anyone still running Windows XP: As I'm sure you know, Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft. If you are continuing to use it, please make sure you are not connected to the Internet. Microsoft stopped providing support to the general public (even for security and critical issues) in 2014 (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_XP#End_of_support for details) which means that you will be at risk. The risk is not only to your machines but your machine could become part of a botnet, meaning that it can be used to attack other systems, etc. On 1/11/2018 5:27 AM, Bob I.2.WIJ via DX4WIN wrote: Anybody out there still using XP has noticed the same problem?
