Re: [Dx4win] New vanity call sign and log in Dx4WIN
I do not remember but it may be tied to the license for that software when you paid and received your key. I cannot change mine either, it really does not matter. Your call is not really associated to the QSOs in your database. Unlike LOTW where you need a certificate for each call. Make sure you get a new certificate for your new call, but do not delete your old call certificate. Keep both active to get proper QSO matching on LOTW Rich On 12/15/2023 17:53 PM, Lauren Ware via DX4WIN wrote: Thanks for the quick replies. Glad to hear I can continue to use the same log. Re: [Dx4win] New vanity call sign and log in Dx4WIN
When I was using DX4WIN, I set my old call QSOs as Group 1 (or whatever you have available). Then my new call was Group 0 default. The QSOs stay in the same log for tracking purposes. I also used other groups for operating from work club station, when I went portable 7, etc. Some use groups for different contests. Helps with sorting for sure. I know I will need to apply for a new LOTW certificate once the FCC call sign change winds its way through. Re: [Dx4win] New vanity call sign and log in Dx4WIN
I too have multiple past call signsbut only keep one log in DX4WIN. But in places like QRZ and LOTW, I do break them out. Works for me. Re: [Dx4win] New vanity call sign and log in Dx4WIN
Hello Lauren, Congrats on your new callsign. I have six different callsigns (all USA) and keep ALL of my QSOs in one log file. (I only have continental US activity) They all count the same for DXCC and WAZ. If you only have one location, they also all count the same for WAS and VUCC. If you move to a new state or grid, simply set the start date for those awards to the date you moved. It is easy to set up a selection (Filter > Selection > Date Selection) to get separate data for each callsign. --- 73, Mike Cizek WØVTT -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net On Behalf Of Lauren Ware via DX4WIN Sent: Friday, 15 December, 2023 08:35 To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] New vanity call sign and log in Dx4WIN So this morning I got an email from the FCC that my new call sign was granted. Re: [Dx4win] DXCC Listing (only) Worked not working?
This is the first time I remember Jim posting a question on here. Usually he is the one answering! Unfortunately, Listing Worked shows all the countries you have worked for DXCC on any band. It only displays the single band column. It works the same way for Grids, States, and Zones. I don't know if that's a bug in the program, or if this is the way Paul intends it, but it would be nice to have it show only the countries (grids, states, or zones) worked on the one selected band (or mode). The Needed Listing works properly for single bands or modes. I just checked v8.05 and it works the same way as v9. --- 73, Mike Cizek WØVTT -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net On Behalf Of Jim Reisert AD1C Sent: Thursday, 14 December, 2023 23:53 To: DX4WIN Reflector Subject: Re: [Dx4win] DXCC Listing (only) Worked not working?
