Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN version 8.05
Mr. Paul, Is there a trick? I downloaded 8.05 per the instructions below, but the icon on my desktop still opens 8.04. When I go to the directory and open 8.05 manually, it says it's only a demo and I won't be able to save my logged contacts. /mmx -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Paul van der Eijk Sent: Sunday, January 30, 2011 5:18 PM To: DX4WIN Reflector Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN version 8.05 Hi, Version 8.05 is available for download from the website, but there is no visible link yet. Re: [Dx4win] FW: My LoTW instructions
Dick, Thanks for the post of your cheat-sheet. It's a testament to poor documentation when end users rewrite instructions for themselves. /mmx -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Dick White Sent: Friday, October 08, 2010 9:15 AM To: DX4WIN Reflector Post Subject: [Dx4win] FW: My LoTW instructions __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] LOTW functions
To: 'k...@arrl.net' Subject: RE: [Dx4win] LOTW functions H.O., LoTW is a hassle to learn to use. The ARRL knows it. I talked to em about it at Dayton. They agreed the instructions need to be rewritten. Unless someone shows you how, or you're just lucky, it's confusing. /mmx -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of H. O. However, let me say that using LoTW is no more complicated than keeping track of your online LL Bean orders once you sit down and use it periodically. Using once a year is not the way to approach it. I speak from experience. I bet most issues can be traced back to the initial log entry point, if I understand the premise. /cx -----Original Message- From: A737Driver [mailto:a737dri...@consolidated.net] Sent: Thursday, October 07, 2010 3:32 PM To: 'Kostas Stamatis'; 'REFLECTOR dx4win' Subject: Re: [Dx4win] LOTW functions Kostas, et al, Very true. [Dx4win] Bulletins?
Friends, The DX4Win logging application was recommended to me. I'm very pleased with it, and am looking forward to learning more about it. A couple weeks ago, I signed up to the DX4Win Reflector. I used my ARRL email address, but never received any of the traffic. My (ever helpful and patient) friend Mr. Paul van der Eijk suggested I sign up again using my direct email address. I did that, but still have not received any traffic from the Reflector. Maybe I don't understand how it works. Does the DX4Win Reflector administrator email activity to members? Or does sign-up merely permit access to the website? Thanks a million, Mark Dubay W5MMX __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
