[Dx4win] Sub Mode Breaking LOTW Confirmations?
Just checking to see if this is operator error or a bug/issue. When I set the submode in DX4WIN 9.07 (for example, SSB with a submode of USB), I do not get matches when I download the LOTW .adi file with confirmations, even if everything else matches up (date, time, call, mode, frequency, etc). The .notfound file has these contacts marked with a X on the far left column. If the submode is set, it will not match. I tested this with SSB and USB and LSB and in every case if I delete the submode in DX4WIN, it will match the very same .adi I just downloaded from LOTW. I haven't tested it with MSFK and submode FT4 yet. Any ideas? 73 Al N9ISN __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Now this is a odd one 9.0.5
Upgraded to 9.0.5 and the process went smoothly. The only issue I am having is the same others are seeing (update cluster and iota files in a endless loop). But this one has me stumped. (Windows 7 SP2 64 bit) The upgrade deleted itself from the start menu > all programs. It also deleted its uninstall file so I am not able to uninstall it automatically. The registry is not showing any uninstall file available. In fact, the registry doesn't even know DX4WIN exists. But I am able to run 9.0.5 with no issues whatsoever. This is not a killer for me and otherwise 9.0.5 is working great. And the new skins look great too. The addition of memberships to the logging screen is very useful as well. Keeps getting better IMHO ThanksAl N9ISN -- Allan W. It worked fantastic! The 32 bit version is free. http://www.eterlogic.com/Products.VSPE.html I later got a Microham MK2+. Its router software has that capability built in so I didn't need VSPE anymore. Good luck! 73 Al N9ISN -- Allan W. Re: [Dx4win] Commander
Hi Joe... Very interesting. I did not know this about VSPE. Seems to work very well with the apps and hardware I have. In fact, my setup is a Yaesu Ft5000 sending com port data to DX4WIN, N1MM and SpecraVue all at the same time with no hiccups. My FT847 is also connected and N1MM directly accesses that (SO2R) and I can turn it on with DX4WIN manually of course. But everyone seems to be happy. (knock on wood) Thank you for enlightening me on the inner workings of each app. 73 Al N9ISN On Thu, 05 Apr 2012 10:08:38 -0400, "Joe Subich, W4TV" wrote: > >> Works the same way as the microHAM router software without the need >> to get the microHAM interface. Re: [Dx4win] Commander
I use VSPE to let my Ftdx-5000, SDR-IQ, DX4WIN and N1MM all share the same virtual com ports at the same time. Easy to set up and free. For Windows. http://www.eterlogic.com/Products.VSPE.html Works the same way as the microHAM router software without the need to get the microHAM interface. Acts like a old time 'TSR' program that sits in the background and does its thing like a traffic cop. Works great! 73 Al N9ISN On Wed, 4 Apr 2012 18:56:34 -0600, Jim Reisert AD1C wrote: >On Wed, Apr 4, 2012 at 6:49 PM, John Sullivan KN8S wrote: > >> Can dx4win work with commander radio control on the same comport? > >DX4WIN has to have exclusive access to COM ports.
