[Dx4win] DX SPOTTING PATTERNS
For the past year or so when I spot DX on the Packet Window they do not transfer to the DX Spots by time window. Years ago it worked fine. John, K2CIB offered help saying his preferences are not set to display band/mode but his still disappears too. I'm set for Band/Mode/Call. Now if I do TE1ST and the frequency etc. it works OK, i.e. it transfers and stays on the spot window. I am (still) running Ver. 4.05 and on page 23 of the book it says the last pattern in Packet 2 is the pattern as transmitted to the cluster. After re reading the paragraph it looks as if the first 2 lines as coming from the cluster and line four as transmitted to the cluster which I assume is the line in question(?). The only line I am clear on is 3, which is for WWV which I do not mess with. (I have an Atomic Clock program!) I have never touched any of the default commands. Here is my line up. . Can any one tell me if this is correct? Could a stray byte changed something at some point? Line 1: DX DE r: f c q tZ Line 2: f c d tZ q r Line 3: r f c q t d Line 4: DX c f q Where I left a space there is a Straight Line. TIA 73, Don W?DM E mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Is there a way to print address labels ? Also, as I work new grids in the four digit format and enter them in the grid box, they are saved but the tally is incorrect when I check progress. The DXCC total is OK and so is the WAS. I am running version 6.03. [Dx4win] Spot Xfer/Vanish!?
Lately when I spot a DX station on the Packet window it comes up fine. BUT most times it does not go to the DX Spots by Time window. NOW, I have seen it go to the By Time window and then DISAPPEAR!! Honest! It had worked fine on KØMP cluster here in Metro Denver but KØMP shut down about 6 months ago. (Actually when KØMP was out of town he would shut down the backbone and then spots did not transfer. He did that so it would not hang up the system in case of trouble while he was gone.) I then joined N7US cluster which is in AZ. Jim, N7US and I discussed this problem and he says it is probably a DX4WIN anomaly. Jim said he checked his end and it looks fine. I am running DX4WIN Ver 4.05 with a WIN 98SE program. I have checked my preference settings and read the info on Packet in both my Ver. 1.11 and Ver. 4.0 manuals and did not see any references made to this problem. Any help appreciated! 73, Don WØDM Littleton, CO
