[Dx4win] 7.02 Disapointing- *BIG* bug!

 Subject: [Dx4win] 7.02 Disapointing

 Well I'm disappointed!

The problem of the DX spots taking control of the entry window with NO
rig control has NOT been fixed.

Further more I have come up with a problem importing the
lotwreport.adi usual procedure for importing an adi file then I choose
Imported QSO sets Upload Confirm flag then I get this error message,

An exception occurred! Access violation at address 005EADOE in module
 'dx4win.exe'. Read of address 01D85288

I click OK nothing imported and DX4WIN appears to continue operating
until you go to close then another error message.

An exception occurred! Access violation at address 005EBOCE in module
 'dx4win.exe'. Read of address 01D89284

Click OK, goes away till you try to close, again another error message!

An exception occurred! Access violation at address in module
 'dx4win.exe'. Read of address

This one repeats each time you try to close, only way to get the now
broken program off your screen is Ctrl + Alt + Delete and tell windows
that despite its warnings of doom to end the task anyway.

I believe no data has been entered from the import process.

 Have I missed something here?

[Dx4win] Bug setting QSL method on multiple QSOs

2004-05-27 Thread N2TU
Jim,
Also, I tried setting the QSL Method to Direct (or Bureau) using Multiple
QSO Operations and it would NOT change any QSOs where the QSLRCVD was
Y...all others, changed the QSL Method to Direct.

Must be a bug running around there somewhere!

In my log, I selected only QSOs with the QSL Method = Ignore. There were
about
 7000+ such QSOs.

Then using Multiple QSO operations, tried to change the QSL Method to
Bureau. I
did *not* choose to set the QSL date. Before starting, DX4WIN told me
7000+
QSOs would be changed. But after I clicked on OK, only 13 QSOs were
changed.

[Dx4win] Stange Happenings in 6.03

2004-05-25 Thread N2TU
After I successfully uploaded all my logs to LOTW initially, the upload LOTW
functions does
not work...

Here's how I did it in the past...I did a selection of my first QSO and my
lastthe Set the Upload Flags...then Export for LOTW...all went
well...and my ADIF file was created and the upload date field got populated.

Then I tried to upload my more recent QSOs...those made after the initial
upload

I used the exact same procedure...set my selection...set the upload
flag...and Export for LOTW...the export seemed to work but the ADIF file was
blank...and the upload date field never changed.

I've tried just about everything...but to no avail

On the other hand if I do a Database Export as we did pre 6.03, all worked
naturally. If I do a Database Export function rather than the Export of
LOTW, theADIF file is created normally...just the Upload date field is not
populated...

What am I doing wrong?

[Dx4win] Upload LOTW

2004-05-18 Thread N2TU
All,

When I try to upload LOTW QSOs, any QSOs marked with QSL = Ignore are not
markedand not uploaded.

Can someone explain why...and how can I work around that?

For instance, all my QSO's imported from other contest programs come into
DX4WIN with QSL= Ignore. When I try to develop an upload for LOTW export,
they are not included in the count...and don't get their Upload flags set.
Also, old QSO's where I didn't want to paper QSL are marked ignore.and
are not included in the LOTW upload...

Any help?

I believe that the documentation says that they aren't really doing any
 validation for the beta test.
