[Dx4win] V8.05 PROBLEM
I recently had a PC crash and lost my backup save file, and decided to upgrade from V503 to V805. My PC is having problems opening zip files, and I had a tough time opening the license key. After 4 days and some help from Paul, I finally got it to load. I managed to salvage all but 150 or so of the V503 log. These were loaded manually. I noticed that the countries database was missing Z8 and closed the log to make the addition. When I did this, the log file reverted back to the V503 log and those added were lost. Every time I close the log to access the countries database, the log reverts back to V503. Could anyone shed some light on what I am doing wrong? [Dx4win] register V8.05
I recently upgraded to V8.05 from V5.03 and am awaiting the license key. In the meantime, I have that the register option is no longer under the help key as t was in V5.03. Where is the register key on V8.05? [Dx4win] DX4win V5.03 problem
I recently had to reinstall V5.03 due a system crash. Everything runs OK except for the database country file. It will not hilite with or without the program being open or closed. I have tried several things including deleting and reinstalling, deleting the cty and cfg files with no joy. I am using V 5.3, Windows 7 sp1 and IE 10. [Dx4win] Problem w/ v 5.03
I was saving a QSO when a popup asked if I wanted to save the changes. I clicked yes, and the screen minimized itself to a small bar approximately 1 inch x 6 inches. All visible is file radio help and the clock. I cannot expand this or modify it in any way. I have tried deleting and reloading the program, reloading on another drive, doing a system restore and I still get the small bar. The properties call for a large maximized screen. Does anyone have any ideas? It has me whupped! [Dx4win] DELETING A LOGBOOK
I am trustee for a club station, and have those logs on my version 5.03 as a second log. I am giving up the position and another person will take over as trustee. After transferring the logbook to disk, how can I delete the entire log in one operation? I see how to delete multiple entries, but nothing on deleting the entire log. [Dx4win] ADDING A COUNTRY
I have just spent a frustrating hour trying to add a country to my version 5.03. All I can get is COMMAND NOT EXECUTED GOING TO CORRECT PAGE. This gives me the details page, which hardly lets me do anything. When it eventually lets me into the mapping page, I try to add the data, but it doesn't tell me what to put in the first block, and then won't let me put the prefix in that block. Anybody know the combination to adding a country? Thanks in advance Tom N4TJ

[Dx4win] Telnet problem
Thanks to each of the 8 who responded to my query. I got it working, but it will not refresh itself, requiring a complete restart to get the latest spots. Is that normal? If not, what can be done to get it to refresh itself? Thanks Tom N4TJ
[Dx4win] filter problem V 5.03
To elaborate on my earlier post, if I have multiple qsos with thge same station, and try to read from one bamd qso to another, double clicking gets me a pop up screen that THE QSO DOES NOT MATCH THE CURRENT FILTER. I have gone into the filter options screen and tried to change the filter there to DX4WIN V4 OR HIGHER without any success. It will not allow me to make other changes, and to be honest, I am not sure that it has accepted tha one either. Is there any other place that will allow a filter to be changed or any idea of how to clear this problem? I need to be be able to page through the QSOs from time to time to log in cards etc, and this can be a real pain in the lobotomus.. Also, I usually save the SAVE file in another location. If I save the log files, does that mean I saved the problem with it? Would deleting the file after saving my last few QSOS and then reloading using my old SAVE file solve the problem or merely move it around some? Does anyone have any ideas? TIA Tom N4TJ
[Dx4win] Filter problem
I am running 5.03 and today, when I look for a particular QSO in the same call window. I get a popup saying that THE QSO DOES NOT MATCH CURRENT FILTER. Prior to today, it would take me to the other QSO with no trouble. I have gone into the filter select option and checked the DX4Win V 4 or later option with no results. Does anyone have any idea of how I can correct this? TIA Tom N4TJ
[Dx4win] Modes
I am using version 5.03, and am beginning to branch out into the digital modes. Some of these, such as Hellschreiber are not listed in the modes available. Is there any way to add new modes to the table? Thanks Tom N4TJ
