[Dx4win] DX4win updater
HI I need some advice please. I am in the process of loading up a new W10 Laptop. The predecessor had DX4Win 8.05 loaded with the data updater. I have loaded DX4Win 9.03 and my key. That is working OK but I am not sure if I need to download a newer UPDATER or whether I can copy over the one I used for DX4W 8.05? [Dx4win] PROBLEM WITH DX4Win and MMTTY (and coincidentally with PSK31)
Hi I hope there is some one on here who can advise me? I am running DX4Win ver 9.0.9.1259. I recently had a problem with the SOUND setup in my W10 PC and could not operate digi modes. That seems to now be resolved as I can now operate WSJT-X (not that I really want to) and RTTY directly to the MMTTY program. This had been working faultlessly for the past three years plus until it suddenly stopped at the beginning of Sept. After some difficulty and assistance we have got it working. However if I try to operate using the interface from DX4Win the MMTTY windows appear and there is noise on the screen printing rubbish. I cannot find any FSK signals, as everyone is on FT8! Nevertheless as I get rubbish on the screen I assume that it would print out serious copy if there were any. The problem that I have found is that I cannot TX. If I try to send RYs the two tones appear on the screen but the rig does not go to TX. Coincidentally I tried the PSK module inside DX4Win that receives and decodes PSK but will not go into TX. I assume there is a common setting that I have not ticked or something? I have looked at the help files but they don't. [Dx4win] ts590sg mode won't change to rtty
Hi I have used RTTY - AFSK a lot in the past using the 590SG with MMTTYY and DX4Win. Selecting LSB and DATA mode the rig mode has, I think, shown RTTT. Certainly it was logged as such. However since FT8 etc appeared there has been very little RTTY on the bands. But today I worked 9X4X on17m RTTY and although the MMTTY windows showed RTTY, the TS590SG mode was LSB and that was what was entered into the log. Obviously easily changed post contact But if there was more activity it would be inconvenient. It was not possible to change the mode from the DX4Win QSO window. I am not sure where the problem lies the rig or DX4Win? [Dx4win] How to extract my log for 2021 without risking the entire log
Hi,, Could someone advise please me how I can extract a copy of my log for 2021 so far from my lifetime log? I have been trying and I almost deleted al of those QSOs! [Dx4win] HELP PLEASE?
I have a Windows problem. I usually have the SAME CALL window open, but I seem to have lost it. It is showing as open in the DX4Win WINDOW menu but I have been unable to recover it. [Dx4win] CCUser and DX4Win
Hi, Hi and Good Morning I have a problem which you may be able to help me resolve. Last week, having been in XE for the past 5 weeks, I returned home and started up the PC and rig etc. The PC then downloaded three Windows updates. That did not seem to have affected anything until I tried to use CCuser and DX4Win. There was a problem with communication between those two programs. However, over the past few days most of the problems seem to have disappeared. It has been suggested that MS are sending patches? The last difficulty that I have is with spots. The spots are appearing as they did previously on the DX tab of CCuser. They also appear in the Packet window of DX4Win. That is where the problem starts. When I start up DX4W lots of spots come in and pass though the Packet Window into the DXspots window and thence to the band map. >From this moment new spots appear in the packet window but don't follow the rest of the path, unless I hit the SH/DX tab on the packet window. Then they complete the process. Previously the process was automatic I am assuming that following the updates a tick is missing from some item on a drop-down menu somewhere. I have been looking unsuccessfully. I emailed KK4HD the author of DX4Win as soon as this occurred but it seems that he has little interest in his product these days. 73 and thanks for any suggestions.
