[Dx4win] DX4WIN TCP file and VE7CC AR User software Isn't working

2011-01-17 Thread Karl Oyster
Good afternoon,

I am trying to use the VE7CC AR User program with the TCP file in DX4WIN.
For some reason, although the following line

VE7CC CC-Clusterlocal-TCP,127.0.0.1:7300

is in the TCP file, for some reason I don't understand, when I try to
connect using it, nothing happens. Nothing. It is as if I had done nothing
to try to connect. I have a sneaking feeling that the TCP entry may not be
correct, but I can't figure out, if that is the case, what's wrong with it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Karl

To try an answer your question, here is what I do...
Running P4, XP PRO, DX4WIN 7.05, VE7CC AR User

Open VE7CC AR User
configure
ports/logging program
check [telnet]
logging program connection
check [enable telnet]
check [user port 7300]
hit apply
restart VE7CC AR User
start DX4WIN
telnet VE7CC CC-Clusterlocal-TCP,127.0.0.1:7300

This should get you going.

[Dx4win] .tcp file

2007-05-08 Thread Karl Oyster, K1KO
Another question: wanted to put three or four particular internet
nodes at the top of the list to make them easier to find when I
log on. I have the preferences set to expert, which apparently
isn't completely true!!!

Closed the program, went to my computerprogram
filesdx4win703savedx4win.tcp, which brought up the list of
nodes.

found each of the nodes I wanted at the top, highlighted them (one
at a time), chose cut, went the to top of the file, hit enter to
create an open line, and pasted the node info in. Then I saved
the file, restarted the program, and when I went to the node list
to sign on, it was as if I had done nothing.

Did the same process again, shut the computer all the way down and
then fired it back up, started DX4WIN, same thing --- as if I had
done nothing whatever with the .tcp file.

Anybody have any ideas as to why it didn't work

Thanks, in advance,

Karl, K1KO

[Dx4win] .tcp file

2007-05-08 Thread Mike Rhodes
Karl,
After you edit the file, do a 'Save As' and make sure your edited file
is being saved where you think it is. Also, make sure your V7.03 is not
pointed at your old version's 'Save' folder.
