When the file is missing, you should have a copy in the highest numbered directory in the backups directory. Problem resolved the hard way. A WIN10 back in time restore point did not resolve the problem. I bit the bullet and did a complete clean DX4WIN installation. Was hoping someone had the right answer before I started speculating. Not sure, but I think some things are cleaned up deleting (or rename for now) "config.dat" in SAVE directory. Worth a try. Might have to reset all your configurations if you have not saved. I can rename members.dat to .datx and DX4WIN still launches so something else. I had the same problem after an update failed. Wound up changing the home directory name for dx4win, and then downloading and installing a new version of dx4win. Before moving everything over to the new install, needed to run the update. Then just moved my license file, log files, and preferences over to the new one install. Now works like a champ! Ricardo, I changed the name "members.dat" to "member.dat" by removing the s at the end. That did not fix the problem. Dx4win ver 9 will not start, it opens the spots window and nothing else and it is minimized. Was working this afternoon then I moved the computer and monitor around putting in a new shelf. It seems to have VE7CC in the minimized spot window but I removed that from the computer a week or so ago. Any idea, please?
