Hello Luc,

Try this:

File > Awards > WAZ > Confirmation.
Make sure both QSL Card and LoTW are checked. When DX4WIN was written, WAZ
did not accept LoTW confirmations.

Hello.
A doubt.
I have just been confirmed via LoTW a QSO of the year 1999, and curiously
it is one of the zones that I was missing in 10 meters, just zone 18.

I import the LoTW file into the DX4WIN, and indeed, when going to that QSO,
the Y of confirmed appears in the LoTW box.

Later I ask for a report from WAZ, Needed Listing, and I choose the 10
meter band, and the report shows me the zone 18 W.

What am I doing wrong?

Regards.

Re: [Dx4win] WAZ module broken?

2018-04-03 Thread Steve Lund
I figured out the solution last night. I noticed that all the 'bad' Qs were
on FT8. I hadn't checked the boxes for FT8 (& JT65) for WAZ, as I had done
for DXCC.

Will submit 20m CW and 5BWAZ tomorrow.

For 80m Zone1, LotW shows WL7CG. When I select that QSO in the log, and set
the WAZ Band to 'S', KL7RA still shows up as the 80m Zone1 QSO, but it is

Check to see if LoTW is enabled for WAZ in the Award Setup (Reports ->
Awards -> WAZ tab -> Confirmation -> check LoTW if it isn't). That might
be it.

In my awards listing for WAZ, I have a single band-zone combination with
just a single QSO. It is confirmed as shown in the QSO window, but when I go

The only difference in this QSO vs. the many other which seem to show up OK

They should not. Are you 100% sure that the QSOs that show are are
not ALSO confirmed using either QSL and/or eQSL?

Try downloading/installing 8.05 and see if the problem goes away.

You can setup dx4win as you want on this (at least if you have the later
version).
Under File>Awards select the award you want and check the Confirmation:
Do you want Qsl cards and Lotw and eqsl? Check all. Do you want only
Lotw? Check only this.. etc... Beautiful eh?

[Dx4win] WAZ

2012-08-21 Thread radioart
Hello Jim,

Now that CQ mag is supporting LoTW for some of their awards, like WAZ, when
will DX4WIN include LoTW in the WAZ totals? Or does it do that now and I'm
just behind the curve.

LoTW is NOT a valid confirmation method for WAZ award. LoTW only
supports DXCC and WAS at this time. eQSL supports WAZ.

[Dx4win] WAZ window bug?

2010-02-09 Thread David M. Monfried
I'm seeing something that's apparently not quite right: I have a 2008 log
entry for VU2NKS on 20m RTTY. The Q was confirmed by LoTW, and the LoTW
"Cnfm" box is therefore marked as "Y". There was no paper QSL involved. And
VU2NKS is my only confirmed Q on 20m RTTY.

However, in the WAZ window 20m DIG is marked with an "M." (The DXCC window
is correctly marked with a "C" in 20m DIG.) The only way I can change the
"M" to a "C" in the WAZ window is by changing the Label Cnfm from "N" to
"Y." Something's not right here. Bug?

I did that, but the list is still empty. If I specify one particular

I'll work it out, Jim. Thanks for your help.

Let me try this again.

You can't do a needed listing like you want, but since there are only 40
zones, you can get Listing that shows all zones by band, including the
missing ones. Make sure that when doing the Listing (not Needed
Listing), in the Award box, only Band is checked.

I don't think you can do what you want in one step. I think you need to
do a WAZ Needed Listing by band (make sure Mixed and Mode awards are not
checked), then individually select each band (80, 40, 20, 15, 10).

The report that results from what you're trying to do is a Mixed-mode,
mixed-band listing.

V8.02

I still need 24 band/zones for 200 band/zone WAZ.

When I select 'WAZ, Listing Worked, All Bands, All Modes', the list
appears to be the same as the WAZ Listing list.

When I select 'WAZ, Needed Listing, All Bands, All Modes', the list
is empty. I get the band headers across the top of the window, but
no zones listed below that. Shouldn't this list should show me the
24 band/zones I still need?

You are correct and they are already flagged as
Checked. When I try to effect a Five Band
Submission, D4W tells me that it will not include
any 20M QSLs as I already have them Checked. This is as it should be.

Thanks for the work-around. While it appears
that WAZ Five Band Submission is DOA, restricting
my WAZ Preferences to only the five bands works like a charm!

Hi Dick,

If I understood it OK you have already submitted WAZ on 20M and checked at
CQ
Then these qso´s should first be turned into Checked.

For the others try this
Its easier to uncheck all bands that you don´t need now in your preferences
So only 10-15-(20)-40-80 M are checked in the WAZ sub window
Then perform a submission and not the 5 bnd.
What you see now is what you can have left for the 5 Band WAZ

[Dx4win] WAZ Processing

2009-04-23 Thread Dick Flanagan
I have a question regarding WAZ processing under D4W 7.07.02

I have a total of 255 band/zones spread across
6-10-12-15-17-20-40-80-160 Meters.

Subtracting the 40 band/zones that I have already submitted for 20
meter WAZ, leaves 215 band/zones scattered across the remaining
bands. These 215 band/zones all show up when I do a
Reports->WAZ->Submission and their WAZ Submit flags are all set
(which for this exercise I then clear).

Out of those 215 band/zones I then subtract 78 band/zones across
6-12-17-160 Meters that are not eligible for 5BWAZ.

This leaves a total of 137 band/zones across 10-15-40-80 Meters that
I can submit (along with my 20M WAZ) toward my 5BWAZ.

HOWEVER, when I perform a Reports->WAZ->Five Band Submission, only 24
band/zones show up and no WAZ Submit flags are set.

I frequently get confused when juggling submissions, but I think I am
doing this right, so what am I doing wrong?

Is anyone using DX4WIN with the EZMaster SO2R controller? I am using an

interfaces, CW, PTT and DVK work fine using WinTest and EZM.

I am not able to get any of the radio, CW or PTT interfaces to work with
DX4WIN (7.03). The EZM uses a single USB port connection between the PC and
EZM box via a virtual serial port (COM 4). I set COM 4 inside DX4WIN to
19200 baud, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and DTR=CW and RTS=PTT. I am not
getting any communication from either radio and CW keying/PTT is not
working. Does anyone have experience with DX4WIN and EZMaster?

Thanks and 73,

You will need only the qsos confirmed by a card.
So change your preferences
File>preferences> qsos tab from card or upload to card in hand, save and
exit
Go to qso window
Reports>waz>five band submission and you will have what you want.
Note that on this window with right click you must save it or print it. (I
save it and i can read after that with excel and make nice reports as i want
to be)
Don't forget after all to change agn your preferences to card or upload

[Dx4win] WAZ and LOTW

2007-12-28 Thread Mark K3MSB
Folks,

I'm trying to organize my log for 5BWAZ. Unfortunately, ARRL and CQ
aren't going to get together anytime soon for LOTW, so I need a way
to extract QSO's that I have confirmed only by a "Card in Hand".

There are 4 scenerios

LOTW Card
 N N (1)
 N Y (2)
 Y N (3)
 Y Y (4)

I do a search on "Cnfm" = N and "Upl Cnf" = N. The results I then
delete and I'm left with QSOs that are confirmed by either a card
or LOTW, or both. In other words (1) is taken care of.

If I now search on "Cnfm" = Y, and "Upl Cnf" = N (to get rid
of (3) I get "No Matching QSO's Found", when there are indeed
QSO's that match this criteria.

Why is this happening?

In the Preferences->Setup Parameters, I have "Confirmed QSO" set
to "Card or Upload". Is this why?

If I temporarily change the "Confirmed QSO" to "Card In Hand",
will this help?

Any other ideas appreciated.

I worked CQ WW Phone this weekend with the goal of working all 40 zones. I
thought that if I set a date filter of this weekend only, and set the spot
window to WAZ Colors, I would start out with all highlighted zones, and as I
progressively worked zones, the spot colors would change. They didn't. Did
I do something wrong or was there more that I should have done, or doesn't
it work?

I managed to work 32 zones with 42 QSOs.

It is indeed showing as Zone 2, and both RST's are 599. This contact, a

I wonder if the fact that the contact is VE3EXY/2 has something to do
with it. Could there be some sort of bug that prevents the WAZ listing
and summary reports from picking up the "portable 2" designation? If
so, how can I get around it?

All is ok now. Thank you to everybody who responded!

It is indeed showing as Zone 2, and both RST's are 599. This contact, a

David,

I can only think of two reasons:

1. QSO is flagged as invalid for DXCC
2. The rstR value is zero

PS Assuming that the zone is indeed shown as zone 2!

[Dx4win] WAZ award question

2002-06-14 Thread David Tilley
I worked and received the QSL card for VE3EXY/2 awhile back to get Zone
2, the last Zone I needed for WAZ. However, the WAZ listing report
doesn't show that I have Zone 2, even though the VE3EXY/2 contact shows
zone 2, and I definitely have it marked as confirmed. The WAZ summary
also shows 39 zones confirmed instead of 40 as it should be. Since
DX4WIN thinks I only have 39 zones confirmed, it won't do a WAZ
submission. How can I make the WAZ listing and summary reports recognize
that I have Zone 2 confirmed?
