[Dx4win] Country Window
I have been in contact with Mike W0VTT working on this problem with no avail and Mike ask me to extend finding a solution here. Using Version 9.0.4.1176 with windows 7. Problem is the country window will not show worked, confirmed or mailed after reading over 55.000 qso's in the log. It will follow the DX spots DXCC window by highlighting the box in mode and band, but with out any information as to worked , confirmed or mailed. All of the box's are empty. This window was working for many years before but last few weeks it is not functioning fully. I have not yet done a system restore on the computer but have tried everything suggested by Mike. I am wondering if anyone of you have had a similar problem? I cannot get this window to stay where I put it. I have rewritten ini.txt every time I reposition the window. Every time I bring up dx4win it is in the middle of my screen underneath log window. Re: [Dx4win] Country Window Error
Randy, make sure you have at least one mode and one band selected in your station preferences. --Paul, KK4HD I checked this, based on earlier answers in the reflector. I had all modes selected and many bands. This solution from Jim AD1C did the trick. I simply moved DX4WIN.CFG to another folder. All working again. Pretty sure a Windows 10 update is what made things quit working. 73 Randy K0EU On 8/30/2017 2:21 PM, Jim Reisert AD1C wrote: On Tue, Aug 29, 2017 at 6:51 PM, Randall K Martin K0EU wrote: I recently started getting this error when trying to open the country window: Ann exception occurred! Thanks for that info Dave. I did not know this. What I have been doing is having to use the FILTER to select which band or mode I wanted and maybe a Y or N for QSL Cnfm depending on what info I wanted. Your way is much faster and easier. Just a note, be sure to hit CANCEL FILTER after your search or the log stays in the search mode. 73 Alan, K7ACZ -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Dave Perry, N4QS Sent: Saturday, April 13, 2013 3:01 PM To: 'Dusty Chapman'; DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Country Window Question If you want to see all stations worked on a band, double click on the appropriate band number on the top row. You only have one station on that band/mode combination whose QSL status is "Mailed". I think N4QS had the best suggestion. Hi Rick, It's working here. Version 6.01 under Windows 98SE. One of the things that didn't survive the development of version 6 is when you start to type a call into the logging window, the country window would show you what bands /modes you have that country on as soon as you enter the prefix. With version 6, it doesn't update the country window until you exit the callsign portion of the logging window. I really liked the way that worked in version 5 and would like to see it brought back. 73 Rick, N6ND
[Dx4win] Country window to previous QSO?
I can't seem to find a simple answer to this question in the manual. Here's the scenario... I'm connected and receiving inbound spots from my local DX cluster. I'm working in Real Time and I have a Country window open -- each new spot is checked against my log and the worked (or not worked) data appears with respect to band and mode for that country in the open Country window. Here is the question -- using a spot for S07L as the example -- while I might not have worked the particular station, my log shows I have worked other S07 stations on other bands and modes -- how can I very quickly check my log to see what specific other S07 stations I've worked (for both band and mode)? I can't seem to find any method other than a filter search by call. Do I have the process correct? 73 de Paul, VE7AVV StoneyGround Station -|<*><*>||<*><*>||<*><*>||<*><*>||<*><*>||<*><*>||<*><*>||<*><*>|- "All email from this address is checked by Norton AntiVirus 2002"

I'm sorry, Bob, I was a little too fast to reply. Lorenzo said, "Country listing - reports window," and I read, "Country window." And, I got my thoughts mixed up there too. The "S"ubmitted flag is not shown in the Country window. The help for the Country window actually says: Char StatusExplanation . Not worked Not worked or invalid W Worked Worked but not confirmed M MailedQSL card mailed C Confirmed Contact is confirmed The help for the Country listing says: "The reports indicates that you worked Monaco on 10m but never received a QSL card back (there is an 'M' on the intersection of the line Monaco and the column 10m, indicating the highest 'level' is card mailed). By double-clicking on the M, the QSO filter will be set to find all QSOs with Monaco on 10m for which you mailed a QSL card! When you double-click on an entry containing an 'S' or an '*', the filter will be set to 'Submit' or 'Checked' for a specific band or mode award. For example, if the 10m column for Monaco contains an '*' the filter will be set to search for a QSO on 10m that has been checked for the 10m band award. Such a QSO may actually not exist, because you may not have submitted that QSO for the band award. You can still find such QSOs by double-clicking in the MIX column for the Mixed award or in a mode column, like PHO, for a mode award." Which means: Char StatusExplanation W Worked Worked but not confirmed M MailedQSL card mailed S Submitted QSL sent to award bureau * Checked Contact approved This little table should be included in the help. 73, John, K2CIB You wrote: Robert Larson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]To: John F Samuels/Armonk/Contr/[EMAIL PROTECTED], DX4WIN@MAILMAN.QTH.NET et.att.net> cc: Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Country Window Abbreviations 02/21/2002 06:03 PM Please respond to robertlarson Is this different in different versions? In version 5.02 that I'm using the "C" means confirmed in the printed report.
