Re: [Dx4win] WPX LOTW versus DX4WIN
Patience grasshopper. WPX has just gone live on LoTW and it is crunching through the millions of records in the background. You can read that status message when you first log onto LoTW on the home page. ARRL will post when the WPX processing is up to date. I currently have more DXCC credits than WPX credits. What most people are seeing is just QSLs received in the last few months. Here's the message about this on the LoTW home page: "LoTW is now displaying a WPX Award table in each user account under the tab Awards. Over the next couple of days users will see the numbers in the tables go up as the system continues to process log data that is already in the system. Some users already see the fully populated prefix tables. Watch the news here and we will announce when the data processing is complete." So, stand by until they say that log processing is completed. I'm only showing one WPX QSL at the moment. 73, -Rick -- Rick Murphy, CISSP-ISSAP, K1MU/4, Annandale VA USA __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

The LoTW web site shows 238. This notice was posted on July 2: "Jul 2, 2012: WPX -- LoTW is now displaying a WPX Award table in each user account under the tab Awards. On the other hand my log shows (by LotW only) Mixed: 1092, SSB: 469. CW: 664, and Digital: 587. While LotW has Mixed: 1093, SSB: 469. CW: 664. and Digital: 588 and has been that way for several days. One item for some - you may need to link/merge accounts if you have ever had multiple calls. That merging process is not automatic. 73, ... Re: [Dx4win] WPX LOTW versus DX4WIN
Yeah, I'm only averaging 1 or 2 per day being added to my WPX Mixed total. I did go in and manually add some just to see it work, but at 12 cents each, I will get my WPX 1000 endorsement sticker via eQSL instead of paying $120 to LoTW. I am a big big fan of LoTW, but not in this case. A while back you could buy credits for your QSLs from LoTW and if you bought in bulk, the price went down, now it's a flat 12 cents each. That begs an interesting question. Presuming you do what you say, will those credits be back-annotated into the LoTW database, or will LoTW try to submit the same prefixes for credit *again*, even though you had done the initial submission using eQSL? Re: [Dx4win] WPX LOTW versus DX4WIN
I found out what the problem is at LOTW. They are using a DEC PDP-8 to sort and match the 434 million QSO database. I am up to 191 matches out of 2879 WPX confirmed in DX4WIN. Plus, on what planet am I going to pay 10 cents per conformed QSO when I can get unlimited for $10 or so direct to CQ. 73, Art W6KY www.w6ky.com . Never try and teach a pig to sing. Re: [Dx4win] WPX LOTW versus DX4WIN
Hey guys, Why would you use LOTW if all you need is a printout of calls and no cards unless CQ wants to see a card? I would think there is some more ironing out to do here for anyone to use LOTW for this.I don't think you even need eQSL for WPX. I only have 64 mixed on LOTW so far when DX4W reports 1100+. Per the CQ Awards Rules: > F. Cards need not be sent, but they must be in the possession of the > applicant.
