I *personally* believe that even if your bot was playing

I was just thinking.

Does anyone remember when the Standard Reserve website

I wonder if this money ever arrived at its intended destination.

Does anyone have any recent news about good old Standard?
This far along, would you say that E-Gold has benefited

I just became aware of the The Cyber Times Navigator,

This program is perhaps the BEST way to encrypt
your HTML pages. It is impossible for viewers to
check out your HTML source:

http://www.softcab.com/textguard/index.asp

I've used it successfully for months now, and my
download logs demonstrate that it is *almost*
impossible to cheat. Perfect for shopping carts,
payment pages etc.

Free trial :)

Jonathan
P.S. - Use it with a javascript that will prevent
right click mouse activity, and the majority of
people will not be able to copy your images. If
only we could disable the old screen capture

While I agree that the use of vulgar words is not the best
way to convey a sense of moral outrage or establish good
credentials as a clever person, I am still of the view that
the owner of this list should do as he pleases about it.

I completely disagree.

Hurling a string of disgusting nouns and verbs at someone
is by FAR, the most effective way to display moral outrage,
short of kicking them in the teeth.

Furthermore, anyone that is truely offended by the comments
made in this list should take their sorry ass off to the nearest
music store and purchase a copy of Home Invasion by the
hard hitting rapper Ice-T ...

Listen to this CD a few times and you will be *numbed* to
any comments made in the heat of verbal battle. To see that
people are actually offended to the point of complaining is
pretty damn sad if you ask me.

2002-09-27 Thread Jonathan Regan

[SNIP] Have these cards encrypted at about 128 bits,
where the government would really need to work to get into any of them

Now that is funny. 128 bit encryption is about as strong as
those paper cups you get at grimy MLM conventions (not
that I've been to any of those mind you. lol) ...

Seriously though - I would love to see some sort of system
where the government (whatever one that may be) finds it very
difficult to redeem information about the people conducting
transactions within it. Perhaps, some sort of software that uses
a strange one way algorithm to store data, so even if the servers
were hijacked and brought back to the labs, then the data would
be essentially unreadable ...

Is it possible to have such an E-Gold like system, with a
layer of encryption that makes the whole thing anonymous?
No court order on the face of the planet would help, because
the data would be unreadable etc. etc ...

Hmm - I wonder ...

[e-gold-list] debit cards and popular branding ...

2002-09-06 Thread Jonathan Regan

Hi all :)

Does anyone know of a debit card solution that
is available and branded by one of these big three:
- American Express
- Visa International
- Mastercard International

It seems to me that a branded debit card would act
like a real credit card, and there is a HUGE demand
for these types of cards, ie. debit Vs. credit ...

I know that there are plenty of Maestro based cash cards,
but these are not the same. Any market makers moving
towards a branded debit card? I'd love to earn in e-gold
and flush the funds into an account that can be used to
purchase things online from most major vendors ...

[e-gold-list] Re: debit cards and popular branding ...

2002-09-06 Thread Jonathan Regan

So sadly, they're not equivalent anyways :O
Jonathan, debit cards in fact do NOT always act as a credit card.

Yes I know. Debit cards have serious advantages and lots of
disadvantages. There is a HUGE market online for debit cards
that can be used as credit cards. ie, when you arrive at an online
shop, and it asks for your credit card details - you simply type in
your debit card details instead, and hey presto - everything works!

According to Overure, 6616 searched for the phrase debit card
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/
in July, and the other search engines produce 5-10 times this traffic
every single month. There is NO competition. Believe me, I've had
a look through the first 500 results in all major search engines,
and the cheapest I could find was around $1,500US (and this
required me to open an offshore bank account etc)

So when is a smart market maker going to offer a branded debit card
that can be funded from E-Gold. The market is there, but the products
are not. Maestro cards are about as useful as a kick in the head online ...

[e-gold-list] Re: A look at Netpay.tv

2002-07-18 Thread Jonathan Regan

Is our money safe with netpay.tv?
Is Loyal Bank the best choice?

IMHO the NetPay.TV program is a complete scam.
It was setup and endorsed by the VERY SAME
people that ran Offshore.Tv and another large
scale ponzi. They ran off with hundreds of
thousands of dollars worth of people's funds,
and then they setup a digitial currency system!

How do I know?

Because I stuipidly got suckered in by their other
ponzi based investment programs, and I setup
specific and unique email addresses in each.
The ponzis went bust, they kept all the money,
and then about 8 weeks later, I got over 15
emails from the same people, promoting the
newest scam, NetPay.TV

These emails arrived from the same source, and
the only people in the world who even knew of
these email addresses, were the promoters of
these two LARGE scale ponzis. The very same
people that setup NetPay.TV ...

I looked at it in beta, and watched in horror as
they BLATANTLY lied about their launch date.
Multiple times they falsified information, and
now they have hung around just long enough
to earn the respect of the goonies dumb enough
to involve themselves in their latest scam ...

Personally, if you have anything to do with this
idiotic currency, then you deserve to lose ALL
of your money. To put it into perspective ...

I'd rate Standard Reserve as a 7 out of 10.
Osgold as a 5 out of 10,
and NetPay.TV as a 2 out of 10.

Take from these ratings what you will, but believe
me that you will lose ALL you place in their hands.

Cheers,
Jonathan

P.S. There have been numerous discussions about
this scam within this list previously. Just check out
the archives. There was a very interesting message
about a person that actually met the co-founder of
the NetPay.TV scam, and disclosed to this list that
he was very, very shonky indeed ...

[e-gold-list] Re: New Planet Gold Report about OSGold

2002-07-08 Thread Jonathan Regan

Interesting reading ...
Could the OSopps program be the reason why
OSgold is now flailing in pain? Think about it.
They offer a crazy HYIP style investment opp
for over a year, and then one day, your OSgold
is worth nothing! You put all that money in,
and your OSgold account looks damn fine at
a few thousand (instead of the $300 you started
with) - but then again, this ain't $3,000 anymore!

For months and months I've been wondering when
good old OSopps would slow down and crumble.
The only way HYIPs are *sustained* is when the
money cannot leave the system for whatever reason.
The way that HYIP operators win (steal) is to take
all the money, or alternatively, make it worthless ...

It always amuses me when I see posts on this list
that describe Ponzis as games, or gambling opps.
Well it's all fun and games, until the currency that
backs it becomes worthless. Sure, it is a voluntary
action to play a Ponzi, but there ain't anything nice
about discovering that your currency is worthless,
whether you decide to play the game or not ...

Jonathan
P.S. - This stuff with STD and OSgold really pisses
me off completely, and I didn't even have any money
in either of them ...

 1) If you lost you money at OSpyrite then the only person you should be
angry at is yourself! Don't Tar the legitimate GBC's with OSPyrites
brush.
OSPyrite has always been a joke -- unfortunately the joke is on the users!
Frankly, the sooner they disappear the better the Industry will be..

Here is something to think about ...
We all know of the recent death of STD and OSgold,
and yet there are probably THOUSANDS of people
that have no clue yet! Here we are sitting on this list,
talking about it, and there are plenty of people that
wouldn't even know that their OSgold is useless ...

Now, I cannot understand why you think that E-Gold
is all innocent in this mess. They had the opportunity
to shut OSgold down in the beginning, as OSgold was
using the E-Gold currency system as its backend ...
Why didn't they? Are you really telling me that the
managers at E-Gold COULD NOT stop OSgold from
creating their type of virtual currency? E-Gold let it
happen, and they are partially to blame for the current
situation, just as they are in STD's case ...

For those DIE HARD e-gold lovers out there - I have
some words of advice. Wake up and smell the coffee!
The system that has kept you in a job for all this time
is crumbling around you, and it won't take too many
complaints from e-gold users to get all the alphabet
agencies involved ...

Beware the new frontier of digital currency ;)

Jonathan
P.S. - This was not an attack on E-Gold, but instead
is just my opinion on these matters. This industry is
skating on thin ice IMHO! Beware ...

Hello all,
Jonathan Regan here ...

I have a rather unsightly credit card bill this month,
and so I am prepared to sell this domain to cover it:
http://www.GoldFunding.Com (Payment via E-Gold)

This domain is a real bargain, and I'll accept anything
over $300US for it. Sounds expensive, but consider
the branding appeal that such a domain has. This is
perfect for current or soon to be market markers ...

It is also generic in nature, and applies directly to all
manners of gold currency. The domain has never been
used before, never submitted to the search engines,
and no business whatsoever has been transacted, or
in anyway associated with this *pure* domain :)

I had intended upon becoming a market maker myself,
but have decided against it - mainly due to some family
committments. I am keen to talk to interested parties,
and payment shall be made via E-Gold thanks. Some
of you may remember a recent domain sale on this list.
The transaction went ahead smoothly, and the domain
was sold and both parties were quite happy. I am a

[e-gold-list] Re: Shenanigans with e-gold

2002-06-12 Thread Jonathan Regan

How many HYIPs, frauds and petty scams use GoldMoney, e-Bullion, or
  Crowne-Gold?

Could it be that e-gold is simply the biggest and most widely known
system?

I've done quite a lot of research on E-Gold scammers, ponzi players etc,
and I can tell you that they are a very paranoid, and quite an unreliable
bunch ;)
Perhaps, they are afraid of using other gold currencys, because E-Gold is
a known and proven way to rort other people out of their gold? Certainly,
I've watched in horror as THOUSANDS of people lose their money in
large scale Ponzis, and the E-Gold support crew do nothing about this ...

The point is: The E-Gold support crew do NOTHING about this.

Why change digitial currency providers to conduct and participate in
ponzis, when you have this type of sit on my hands interaction by
the #1 currency provider, E-Gold? To put it another way, E-Gold
provides a reliable currency system to rort other people out of their
money. If it ain't broke, don't fix it right!

So to answer your question:
People use E-Gold, because they can - without fear of being tracked.
This is not to say that the other currencys make a more ethical stand, or
have better tracking and prosecution capabilities. They just have not been
around long enough to satisfy the paranoid ways of the Ponzi crew. Give
it a bit more time, *and* if the newer gold based currencys sit on their
hands,
then they will also become popular as method to rort people ...

[e-gold-list] Re: Shenanigans with e-gold

2002-06-12 Thread Jonathan Regan

I never really thought that this kind of monitoring was a
responsibility of being an IGP. You are suggesting that
each IGP has a responsibility to intervene, preventing
fools and their gold from being parted.

No, actually I didn't suggest that at all.

What I did suggest, was that if E-Gold were to crack down,
and take a stong stance on this issue, then the people that use
E-Gold for ponzis, would migrate to another gold based currency
with less of a big brother reputation.

[SNIP]
I'm being quite serious here, Jonathan. I didn't know an IGP had this
 responsibility.

They don't. That is the point. E-Gold has developed a reputation as a
way to move value digitally and anonymously, and hence enjoy market
leader position. If they *were* to modify their business model, to make
it easier to track down and prosecute the operators of ponzis, then the
popularity of the E-Gold service itself would suffer.

 e-gold police.
(lol. Just had a funny vision of golden armour clad Bill Gates clones,
carrying Palmtops and huge print outs of E-Gold transactions ...)

I just saw your response to Snowdog's email, Jonathan, and you
sound very cynical. You suggest that the only reason e-gold does
not crack down is that it would force their customers to other forms
 of IG.

No, the reason they don't crack down is because they cannot.
In fact, there is no reason why they would want to. Why invent
another PayPal. uhh.

Now, I don't have a Biblical concordance handy. Who can tell me
where that verse A fool and his gold are soon parted appears?
Sounds like a Proverb to me.

http://www.goldezine.com
http://www.goldhacker.com

These domains have NOT been submitted to the search engines,
and business has NOT been conducted on them. Fresh domains,
that are funky, quite valuable and will place well in the major
search engines. I have also received traffic from visitors that
simply type in the names of the above domains.

The domains above have about 2-3 months worth of registration,
(but I will renew them again if they don't sell soonish)

Please send offers of $150US+ to me at:

Cheers,
Jonathan

[e-gold-list] RE: How can I promote my site?

2002-05-27 Thread Jonathan Regan

Do you have any ideas on how can I promote my new
http://checkaddress.net
  site?

I operate a large startpage exchange portal located here:
http://FreeWebsiteTraffic.Com

If you visit, you will find over 40 startpage exchanges that are
all free to join. The vast majority of them offer free credits.
When a person uses the internet, they have to initially start
somewhere, and so this can be considered their startpage.

With about an hour of your time, you could join all of the
programs supported at my portal, and have well over 2,000
unique visitors arriving at your website within days. (Due
to the exchanges providing signup credit bonuses).

It's all free, and a lot of E-Gold members are taking advantage
of this new type of marketing. In fact, the major exchanges now
support E-Gold, so you can run banners across them, buy
extra credits etc. Recently, I ran an E-Gold banner, received
a 1.4% click ratio, and received over 15 personal progeny :)
http://FreeWebsiteTraffic.Com

May not be the most targeted advertising in the world, but
your website will be displayed as the startpage for over
2,000 people - and all for free. Can't hurt can it ;)

Jonathan
P.S. - My website receives around 4,000 unique IP traced
individuals a day, courtesy of startpage exchanges. This
form of marketing is very much undervalued.

[e-gold-list] Anonymous and free ...

2002-02-04 Thread Jonathan Regan

Hello all :)
- I've been an avid reader of the E-Gold list for a long time,
and I have a question about online privacy for the brains.
The question also relates to the E-Gold service as well ;)

Over the last few weeks, I've submitted a few open
freelance type projects for programmers, to develop
me an http://anonymiser.com clone. I've had many bids
ranging from $200US for an auto proxy changing server
- all the way to a $7,700(US) for a clone of the top public
anonymization services online, with solid features such as
secure tunnelling, encrypted inbound and outbound mail etc.

What I would like to know is - what sort of features do I
require to become completely anonymous 24/7 on the web?
Obviously, I'd like to use services like E-Gold, so the script
or service would have to be able to handle SSL etc.

My freelance requests are out there, but the small group of
programmers interested in doing this job, want extra details.

I'm prepared to pay for it, unless others would like to share
the cost. The idea is to create an experience where a person
can turn their computer on. Connect. Become anonymous,
and use E-Gold as their payment option of choice to conduct
a 100% online business in complete privacy ...

Obviously, this raises concerns about my intentions, but this
to me, is not as important as my right to privacy. Please give
me your suggestions as to your dream anonymization service,
with a particular emphasis on your requirements, as market
makers, merchants and users of digitial currencies.

(I like the crypto-card thread. It would be nice to put this
feature into the anonymiser system ...)

Thanks!

[e-gold-list] ##### E-GOLD CASINO - WIN $$$$

2000-12-01 Thread Jonathan Regan

This is without a doubt the very best E-Gold casino on the
internet. You can play with very, very small amounts, or alternatively bet up to
1.5KG of E-Gold !!If you refer other people to this casino, you also
receive a commission bonus, paid in E-Gold, based upon the amount of "hands"
they play. This is great fun, and a fantastic way to turn your E-Gold into a new
holiday...

Since joining I have made over $400US (in 6 days). Play
BlackJack, and if you follow systematic result, you increase your odds to
around 48%. Nearly a 1/2 chance. I've successfully doubled my money many, many
times.

You can play BlackJack, Poker, ReelSlots, Pokerx10
or you can bet on the gold price going up or down, and the success of the
casino! If you place $10US into your egold account, then you will have a great
time palying, and I bet you win some money

Collect your
winnings - empty your account at any time, no questions asked, no qualifications
- go for it! This is the only online casino in the world where you
can claim your wins instantaneously!

Enjoy!
Check out the best E-Gold casino
righthere:

P.S. May be a little slow to load. Worth the wait
though!
