Don, firstly there is a long essay about this at the bottom of https://www.1mdc.com on the left side, and at the bottom. In short, the 1mdc BRAND is now very famous -- for a relatively small cost! Eventually other 1mdc products in the group (such as 1mdc Grams) could generate vast profits. However, yes, 1mdc LODGEMENTS are quite literally a free lunch. What you pay into the 1mdc brand is your very interest, attention, the fact that you tell others, etc etc. What 1mdc Lodgements builds is absolute trust, reputation and so on. Yes, it is a completely novel business concept. It is so unlike BANKS which are a rip off from A to Z that it is hard to grap! As it explains in the long essay it is an anti-Bank, much as e-gold is an anti-money. Try it! The lowest lodgement size (10 grams) will be raised eventually (probably to 20g). I hope that helps! On the $100,000 lodged, that works out to about $1000 a year. -- Patrick --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use e-gold's Secure Randomized Keyboard (SRK) when accessing your e-gold account(s) via the web and shopping cart interfaces to help thwart keystroke loggers and common viruses.

I have a theory. This is just theory and speculation, of course. If I had me a brick of gold in digital format, I would lend it out to some trusted currency exchange providers who are low on e-gold inventory in exchange for a fee (interest). That's what I would do. I do not know what JPM is doing. = Liberty Impact! Because they're honest. I suspect I am going to ignite a flame war, but this *does* bring up a very valid question which is one of the major concerns when I try to get others to use e-gold: Yes, let's assume that everyone on *this* list implicitly trusts the backers of 1mdc and e-gold. But what exactly do I tell someone when they ask what happens if 1mdc goes under? Or e-gold.com, themselves? I mean, it's not exactly like I can go to one of the vaults with a recent printout of my balance and demand that they scrape on one of the gold bars to give me my few grams. Please don't flame me. This is a real issue that comes up when I am talking to potential members of our e-gold economy. I suspect that mistrust is ultimately the *primary* detractor. In the movie Field of Dreams, Kevin Kostner builds a baseball field on the premise that if you build it, they will come. Well, I guess JP is building 1mdc on the premise that if they come, he will build it. If you think about it, the latter is a much better way to build a business. Assess the demand first, and then rise to meet it. This is precisely how I started my first successful Web-based business; I saw that people were searching for something like Freedback.com, but couldn't find any site to meet the need, so I started one. :-) -- David Beroff [EMAIL PROTECTED] Founder/CEO, LeadFactory.com P.O.
